time-bound)
At the end of the Science class, at least 80% of the students should be able to:

2. describe the movement of the Moon around Earth and identify how long this
takes,

References: My World of Science Primary 4; www.google.com
Materials: textbooks, pictures, videos, power point presentation, blooket fun
game

III. Learning activities:

A. Preparatory Activity
Ask the students to play a game with their classmates. One can be the sun,
one can be the Earth, and another can be the Moon. Show how the Sun, Moon,
and Earth move in the solar system.

B. Presentation of the Lesson

2. Discuss the important moons on each planet and state that there are 214
and more moons on the solar system.
3. Show and discuss power point presentation on Moon Planets.

C. Generalization
Values Concept: Moon is a very important part of the solar system.

Integration of the 7 HABITS number 5: SHARPEN THE SAW. This

habit talks about being an integral person, feeding our physical, mental,
3
social, and spiritual sides. In this lesson of how the moon moves, students
have learned that the moon revolves around the Earth. They were prompt to
think about what will happen if the Moon is close to us or if the moon is far
from us, and how these affect the Earth. How does the Moon, being so far
away, affect the tides on Earth?
» What is high tide and low tide?
» Why is the movement of the moon important for us to learn?
» Would you like to go to the moon? Why or why not?
» If you go to the moon, who would you take with you?
» What do you think it would be like if we had two moons? How could we tell
them apart?

IV. Assessment
1. Review about the lesson using BLOOKET Fun Learning Game (next meeting)
2. Short quiz: Multiple choice on Power Point Presentation (next meeting)

V. Assignment
