3B- CONCRETE WORK

Unless otherwise stated all concrete shall be Note

Rates for concrete shall include for Note

Rate for concrete shall include for :

good after removal of formwork.

All concrete shall be so cast as to receive fair Note

face finish on it's exposed faces suitable to
receive paint/sealer directly.

All major structural concrete works ( Slabs, Note

beams, columns etc) shall be 'Ready mix'
concrete of relevant grade and other minor
concrete works ( lintels, worktops, floor
Concretes etc) shall be machine mixing
concrete of relevant mix ratios.

Rate shall include for necessary tests Note

including cube tests as per the BS 1881 and
SCA/4/1.

Rate for formwork shall include for all Note
necessary boarding, supports, erecting,
framing, cutting angles, cleaning, apply
approved foam oil, wetting before placing
concrete, removal etc.

Formwork is measured as the net contact Note

Film coated Plywood or other equivalent Note

Mould oil should be applied to formwork
surfaces before using.

Rate for form work shall include for all Note

All reinforcement shall be as per relevant Note

British Standards having minimum
characteristic strength of 460 N/mm2 for
ribbed tor steel and 250 N/mm2 for mild steel
and complied the relevant drawing specs.

Rate shall include for necessary tests as per Note

BS4449 and SLS 375.

All reinforcement shall be free from mill scale, Note

dirt, oil, paint, grease or loose rust before
fixing in position and shall be brushed with a
stiff wire brush as directed.

Rate for reinforcement shall include for Note

supplying, cleaning, cutting, bending,
fabricating, binding, placing in position,
binding wires, ties, supporting bars, spaces,
chairs, wastage etc.

Grade 25 (20) cement concrete for column

shafts.
