Criterion-C & D draft

I performed single wicket drill, to improve my line and length, I was successful in hitting 2
balls on the single wicket. The single wicket drill is a crucial part of a cricketer's training
routine helping them improve their accuracy and focus. By aiming at just one stump, bowlers
learn to hit their spots consistently, which is vital for success in matches. This drill isn't just
about physical skill; it's also about mental toughness. It teaches bowlers to stay sharp and
composed, even when the pressure is on during a game.
Another big benefit of the single wicket drill is that it helps bowlers bowl economically. By
getting their line and length right, they make it tough for batsmen to score freely. This can
force them into making mistakes or playing risky shots, giving the bowling team more
chances to take wickets
It also improved my bowling, mainly the key factors of bowling such as – pace and runup.
Performing this drill, helped me to improve my pace in bowling, making it difficult for a
batsman to play my bowl, when clubbed with variations such as swingers, cutters, improves
the chance of getting wicket in match. Moreover, it has improved my runup, by practicing this
drill, I got to know how to mark runup which has decreased my no balls, making my bowling
more effective.
