Chapter 1 X ray room requirements

1.1 X ray room requirements
1)Recommended Mammography room size：
L x W x H = 4m x 3m x3m

2)Installation environment:
operation temperature：20～30℃
relative humidity：≤75%
atmospheric pressure：75kPa ～ 106kPa
supply voltage：AC 220V ±10%，
Power frequency：50Hz/60Hz
maximum power：5KVA

3)Power supply requirement：

*Single phase 220VAC，one live line、one neutral line、one grounding line。The voltage
between the live line and neutral line should be 220V±5%。
* Install an air switch ,rated current ≥ 25A, with leakage protection.
* Install an independent ground wire, and not share with other machine.
* A single power supply wire diameter requirements ≥ 10mm²

Chapter 2 Hardware installation
2.1 Frame installation
1)Before open all wooden boxes, please take photos, then carry all the lightweight
accessories to the X-ray room.

2) About mammography main frame, we can use the handling wheel and the top cover of
wooden case to move it to the ground, then move into the X-ray room,see photo 2.1.2.

3) Move the mammography machine to the suitable location, then open the back cover of the
machine,see photo 2.1.3, the wiring connection as photo 2.1.4.

4) Install the AVR

Input 220V power,connect Output 220V power,connect to

5) Turn on the power , switch on the AVR,switch on the machine, then control the arm to rotate
to 90 degree,see photo 2.1.6

6) Remove the lower cover of the detector,then remove the fixed screws of the carbon fiber
board, and take off the carbon fiber board, see photo 2.1.7

7) Install the flat panel detector,connect the communication cable, see photo 2.1.8. Then install
the carbon fiber board back, to protect the flat panel detector.

8)Switch on the power supply for the detector.

9) Install the compressor.

10)Test all the movements of the machine(Arm up and down, rotation. Compressor up and
down)

2.2 Workstation installation

1)Install the computer and console,finish the wiring of the workstation and machine.

2) Open the DXRay Diagnost software,sign in and register a patient's

information,select LCC, then click mAs, then click ‘start’ button, then press the hand
switch to exposure.

Chapter 3 Calibration
Open disk C/DXRay Diagnost/API4.4.4_NDT3.7.2/AngellNDT V3.7.2, and open disk C/DXRay
Diagnost/GeneratorCtrl

3.1 Preview mode calibration

1) Click ‘Select Mode’ button, then choose Preview Mode.

2)Click Calibration and select ‘Offset Calibration’ .

3)Click ‘start’, then the offset calibration will automatically finish by itself, just
waiting.

4)When the offset calibration finish, click ‘Gain Calibration(A)’, begin to do Gain
calibration.

Adjust Kvp/mAs on the GeneratorCtrl software,then click ‘COLLECTION’,then will get a image,just
check if the actual value is between the desired value, if it is,click ‘Accept(A)’. If it is not,click
‘Retake(D)’,and adjust the Kvp/mAs, then ‘COLLECTION’ again to get the new image, do these
steps until the actual value is between the desired value. Need to get 15 gain image, then click
‘Closed’,see photo 3.1.7.

3.2 Rad mode calibration
1) Click ‘Select Mode’ button, then choose Rad Mode.

2)Click Calibration and select ‘Offset Calibration’ .
