Background
INDONESIA NETWORK OPERATORS GROUP/IDNOG founded in Jakarta on 24 June
2014. IDNOG initiated by a group of volunteers from Internet Service Provider (ISP)
companies, Network Access Providers (NAP) and Stake Holders.

The establishment of IDNOG strongly supported by : Indonesian Internet Service

Provider Association (APJII)-www.apjii.or.id, Asia Pacific Network Information
Center (APNIC)-www.apnic.net, Internet Corporation For Assigned Names And
Numbers (ICANN)-www.icann.org and Asia Pacific Internet Association (APIA)-
www.apia.org.

IDNOG is a non-profit organization, which is independent and do not under any

authority or any Institution or Organization and does not involve in politics. Its
members are activists in ISPs, Telecommunications Operators, Other Network
Owners, Content, Academics, Regulators that are spread throughout Indonesia.

IDNOG formed as an initiative to embrace Network Operators in Indonesia to

share knowledge and experiences in between members, anyone interested may
join. IDNOG will regularly hold meetings in the form of conference and workshop
once a year. IDNOG provide and maintain mailing list and other social media for
members engagement.

NANOG (North America NOG) is one of the longest NOG communities in the
world. It's an effective community to share experiences, knowledge and update
Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in North America. JANOG (Japan
NOG) was established on 1997 and SANOG (South Asia NOG) since 2003 where
both located in Asia, and SGNOG, MYNOG and others located in ASEAN. APRICOT
located in Asia Pacific.

Packed in the form of Conferences, Workshops, Lighting Talks, Tutorials and
Exhibition, by bringing speakers who are experts in their fields from within and
outside the country to provide presentations and issues around the current
Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

Participant Target
Target for IDNOG-09 is 600 (six hundred) participants which come from Internet
Service Provider Company (ISP) and Network Access Point (NAP),
Telecommunication Operator, Network Owner, Satelite Operator, Content, E-
Commerce, Start Up, Academics, Regulator and activists of Technology,
Information and Communication (ICT) throughout Indonesia
