Exercise 6. ESSAY WRITING
Are mobile phones the ultimate tool for communication,
or do they inadvertently detach us from the real world? While
many believe that mobile phone connects us to one another, others
challenge that it voids the innate human relationship profoundly.
On the plus side, a mobile phone could keep you in touch
when you are out and about; you could be contacted anywhere.
They are particularly useful for people who are often on the move
like businessmen, doctors and politicians. They could be reached
no matter where they are. Moreover, a mobile phone gives you a
sense of security; if you find yourself in a dangerous situation,
you can call for help wherever you might be.
However, skeptics argue that mobile phones are costly to
keep. The calls are expensive and basic charge for the service is
much higher than that of the land line. In addition to this, it is
claimed that mobile phones are proven health hazards causing
fatal diseases like cancer and brain damage especially for
children.
All things considered; one could never do without a
mobile phone nowadays. One would just look outdated old-
fashioned and out of reach. Yet, when used in a moderate manner,
mobile phones are fun, practical and increasingly useful for
everyone.

4th Paragraph - Conclusion – this should
briefly summarise what you have said and
what you think about the argument. You can
link your conclusion back to the beginning
and/or encourage the reader to decide what
they think about the same viewpoint.
