We would like to bring to your attention some key details regarding the registration process for the
upcoming Islamabad Family Chess Olympiad. Your participation is greatly valued, and we want to ensure
a smooth and fair competition for all.

Registration Options:
You are afforded the choice to register either as a 'Four Members Team' or as an ‘Individual
participant’.

 Four Members Team Composition:

Board 1: Any Rated or Unrated (Female Only)
Board 2: Any Rated or Unrated (Male/Female)
Board 3: FIDE Rated Under 1800* or Any Unrated (Male/Female)
Board 4: FIDE Rated Under 1600* or Any Unrated (Male/Female)
* In the case of a FIDE Rated player: It’s a Rapid Event; therefore, Rapid Rating will be considered first. In the absence
of FIDE Rapid Rating, then FIDE Classical rating will be considered, followed by FIDE Blitz rating.

 Individual Participation with Three Members:

If forming a complete four-member team proves challenging, we want to assure you that teams with only
three members are still eligible to compete. However, it's important to note that, under these
circumstances, your team will be treated as three individual participants rather than a formal team
entity."

Team Configuration:

After teams are finalized, there will be no alterations to team composition or playing order. It's vital to
note that the playing order, once established (e.g., starting on board 1), will remain consistent throughout
the event. In the event of a team member's absence or unavailability, the opposing team will be
awarded a BYE point for the specific board affected. Hence, we strongly encourage participants to
assemble their teams.

Organizer's Discretion:

The organizers retain the right to make adjustments to individual placements within teams based on
player availability. Additionally, the organizers reserve the right to make amendments as necessary. Please
be advised that decisions made by the organizers in such matters will be considered final.

Playing Format:
Time Control: 15minutes + 05 second increment
Stage 1 (Round-Robin):
Teams will be distributed among 04 Pools (Pool-A, Pool-B, Pool-C, Pool-D) by the
organizers. Top 02 teams from each pool will qualify for the Stage 2 (knock-out).
Stage 2 (Knock-Out):

08 qualified Teams will compete for Champion Title based on Knock-Out format
(Quarter-Final, Semi-Final, Final)
Time Format: 15 minute + 05second increment from move 1

Registration/Team Amendment(s):
 4 Member Team Registration: Rs. 6,000/-
or
 Individual Registration : Rs. 2,000/-

Registration Deadline: May 23, 2024, @ 10:00 PM (Non-Refundable)

Late Registration:

Late registrations will be accepted with double the fee until May 24, 2024 @ 5:00 PM.

Player Replacement/Change of Playing Order:

Should the need arise, player replacements/Change of Playing Order are acceptable until
May 24, 2024 @ 5:00 PM, with a fee of Rs. 1000/-.
