Activity: Environmental Clean -up

Narrative:
The School DRRM coordinator together with the class advisers from grades 3-6 conducted a
short meeting last November 30, 2023 at 10 am. They listed the names of pupils who will
participate in the clean-up drive in the afternoon of the same day. They also devised a plan
as to where they will start and where they will end as well as the materials that the pupils
will bring for the said activity.

The activity started with a prayer, after that, there was a short briefing on the participants
before proceeding to the first area where they will clean. The area where they first started
cleaning was a 5-minute walk from the school, this is near the Jilocon bridge, and they
proceeded cleaning from north to south ending eventually at the area near Ex Mayor Melo
Remollo’s residence. A total of 7 sacks of plastic garbage were collected, this includes plastic
bottles, plastic wrappers, plastic bags and many others. The garbage was brought back to
the school campus where it will be temporarily kept until the garbage collection day.
