lanterns to the local cuisine, my childhood was lled with the rich tradi ons of Shanghai. I remember the
me spent with my grandparents, listening to their stories of ancient Chinese legends and watching them
prac ce tai chi in the park. These experiences shaped my understanding of my Chinese iden ty, seeding in
a deep apprecia on for the customs and values that make Shanghai unique.
