Learners will research the historical influence of immigration and specific cultural events. They will explore a question – what makes that country famous and why? In addition, learners will identify what influences those cultures, what makes them, or the way it was created. Learners will end the unit with the summative assessment where they will perform in front of their classmates a 2-minute event that will represent the culture of their country. All assessments will be in the form of students' migrations through different countries and through sharing their performances having exchange of information. Besides, learners will have a voice and choice to decide upon performance style, this can be a dance, a scene with dialogue that will deliver information; learners can create the costumes, etc. The project requires using the skills and will allow the developing of open-mindedness, creativity, communication, critical thinking, and research skills.
