Ladies dan Gentlemen

Indonesia is known as not only a very beautiful country but also as a very friendly and moral
country. Children who have learned good manners from an early age both at home and at school
are the reason why people in Indonesia are known to be very friendly.

Today, I want to talk about something that affects each and every one of us: the moral compass
of young Indonesians in our society today. As students of junior high school, we are at a crucial
stage in our lives where we are shaping our identities and values. It's essential for us to reflect on
the moral landscape around us and consider the impact of our actions on ourselves and others.

In recent times, we've witnessed a shift in the values upheld by many young people in Indonesia.
While there are certainly many admirable qualities among us, such as ambition and creativity,
there are also concerning trends that we cannot ignore. It's become increasingly common to see
examples of dishonesty, lack of empathy, and a disregard for the well-being of others among our
peers.

One of the most pressing issues we face is the prevalence of bullying, both in-person and online.
The anonymity provided by social media platforms has made it easier for individuals to engage
in hurtful behavior without facing the consequences. Cyberbullying, in particular, has become a
significant concern, leading to emotional distress and even tragic outcomes for some victims. As
young Indonesians, it's crucial for us to stand up against bullying in all its forms and promote a
culture of kindness and respect.
Additionally, we must address the growing materialism and consumerism that seem to pervade
our generation. It's natural to desire material possessions and financial success, but we must not
let these desires overshadow our sense of morality and compassion. We should strive to find a
balance between our personal ambitions and our responsibilities to our community and the
environment.

Furthermore, we need to be mindful of the influence of popular culture and media on our
perceptions of right and wrong. It's easy to be swayed by celebrities and influencers who may not
always embody the values we aspire to uphold. Instead, let's look to positive role models within
our communities and seek inspiration from their acts of kindness, integrity, and generosity.

As young Indonesians, we have the power to shape the future of our nation for the better. Let's
commit ourselves to fostering a culture of empathy, honesty, and mutual respect. Let's support
each other in times of need and celebrate the achievements of our peers with genuine joy.
Together, we can build a brighter tomorrow where moral integrity and compassion are the
cornerstones of our society.
