IMPORTANT: Reinstalling IES VE or moving it to a new PC

After reinstalling IES VE on the same PC twice, IES will ask you to purchase a new licence.
It is therefore important to note that you ensure that your current PC is appropriate for
carrying out modelling tasks during the MSc course at IEDE.
In any case you are looking to move the IES VE to another PC (e.g. if you have bought a
new laptop), you will need to uninstall and reinstall the PIN.
Please follow the instructions below:
https://www.iesve.com/support/knowledgebase/faq/2923

Uninstalling or moving our software

If you wish to uninstall or move the IESVE software once keys have been activated
please contact us. You will need to run IES-Clean and generate an Uninstall
PIN. This is required for us to re-issue keys.

Running multiple versions

Multiple versions of our major releases (e.g. VE 2016, 2017 & 2018) can be installed
alongside each other. Therefore you do not need to uninstall previous versions if you
so wish. However, project files will be automatically upgraded if opened in a newer
version.
