Memoir

By: Gavin Mergen

The best part of my senior project was being able to build something for my family to

use. The worst part of my senior project was seeing my stove crack. Now I know not to take the

cheap way out and use the correct materials. Also I know how to laye stone and use grout now.

The part that stretched me the most was laying the stone because I have never laid stone before

and I did not know how to use the grout and mix the grout for the stone. I feel like it has

influenced me a little more but also with my career I won't be laying muh stone, but I will be

pouring concrete so it helped me with that as well. If I had to do my project again I would buy

the correct materials so it won't crack again. I would say to the next year's seniors to stay caught

up in senior sem and also get a head start on your senior project so it's not a hassle at the end of

the year. I would give myself an A on the outcome cause I feel like it looks awesome and it took

a lot of work from start to finish.
