ENGLISH

1. How would you convince a friendly alien to visit planet Earth for the first time?
Write a letter to him highlighting all the wonders and beauty that our planet has to offer.
Be imaginative and descriptive, emphasizing why Earth is a must-visit destination in the
galaxy. Paste or draw pictures relevant to your description.

2. Write an application to the Principal on each of the following topics:


a) Requesting to start a new club for the students aimed at promoting environmental
awareness and sustainability. Include details about the purpose of the club and how it will
benefit the school and the wider community.

b) Requesting to spare you from attending the Computer Practical classes for a week since
you have an eye infection or any other convincing reason.

3. Draft a notice on each of the following topics. Also, enclose the notice in a box:
a) Informing the students about an upcoming workshop on cyber safety and digital literacy.
Encourage the students to attend and learn to stay safe and responsible while navigating the
online world. Include details such as the date, time and venue, etc.
You are Anushka/ Anshul, the ATL Club Secretary of your school.

b) Informing the students about a 3-day excursion to Jaipur during the summer vacation. As
the cultural head of the school, invite the names of the interested students mentioning all
the necessary details.
4. Select any one theme such as fruit, colours, animals etc. and write 10 idioms related to
the chosen theme. Frame a sentence on each idiom demonstrating its meaning.

write the information in neat handwriting.

II. PROJECT BASED ACTIVITY
Make a project on Parallel Lines. Give a brief history on the discovery of parallel
lines. Give any five examples of objects where you can observe parallel lines. Also
write the properties of parallel lines cut by a transversal. (To be done on A-4 size
sheet)
SCIENCE
1. Food products like probiotic yogurt have become popular nowadays. What does the
term ‘’probiotic’’ mean and how such products are beneficial to our digestive system?
2. Make a list of all products you use in your day to day life, which you think are products
from forest. Write the ways in which you can use these products economically.
3. Paste pictures of different types of heterotrophic plants and write information about
their feeding habits.
4. Make structure of stomata by using kidney beans. How does the stomata contribute in
photosynthesis and transpiration?

b) The organ where protein digestion starts.

be able to give some hands-on experience during demonstration.
