Hello, my name is and I’m in the final year of my BTEC National in mechanic at the

vocational training school . Today I'm going to tell you how to change the oil in a
Renault engine. We start by putting the car on the lift and then mounting it. Remove
the plastic plate protecting the lower engine to gain access to the oil sump. Prepare
the drain pan, then unscrew the drain plug located on the oil pan. Once the oil has
finished flowing, change the seal and replace the drain plug. Then remove the oil
filter and replace a new one. We clean up the oil that has run and we can put the
plastic plate back on. Lower the car and top up the oil to the correct level. The tyres
are inflated if necessary and the lighting checked. Finally, the speedo is reset to
zero and the car is returned to the customer.
