The
Reason
The reason there is a
space relationship is to divide
or determine the connection of
the interior spaces with the
exterior spaces, or between the
private and public spaces, or
even between the rooms of a
building.
Space in a Space
There once was called “The
Chapel of Love” located within
the Mall of Asia which has
wedded over 8300 couples.
These spaces are commonly
found within a large mall. They
are public spaces accessible to
exact people’s faith and beliefs.
Space in a Space

This is the Container

Office by HOHarquitectura.
It is an office made with
steel containers enclosed
within a warehouse-type
structure.
Interlocking Space
This is the National Taichung Theater in
Taichung City, Taiwan by architects Toyo Ito &
Associates. I set it under the interlocking space
because its exterior and interior spaces overlap
each other as shown in its floor plan.
Interlocking Space

This is the Villa Baizeau at Carthage Palace,

Tuinisa. Its upper and lower spaces interlock with
each other giving off the impression that it is one
continuous space.

The SMX Convention Center is the

largest private venue in the
Philippines where enterprises may
come for trade events, industry
conventions, and corporate
functions. It is connected, by two
overpasses, to the SM Mall of Asia,
the largest shopping mall in the
Philippines
Adjacent Space

This is the Swiss National Museum

extension in Zurich, Switzerland. It features
two existing museums, separated but
adjacent to each other. It gives off the feeling
of stepping into a new zone as you switch
between two museums.
