(b) A six member committee is to be formed from 8 Boys and 7 Girls. In how many
ways
can this be done.

4 Suppose a box contains 4 red and 3 black balls. 4 ball is chosen at random from
the box and then a second ball is drawn at random from remaining balls in
the box.
Find the probability that
(i) both balls are black (ii) both balls are red

(iii) the first ball is black and the second is red


(iv) the second is red (v) the second is black

5. (a) 3 balls are drawn of random replacement from a box containing 8 red and 3 white
balls.
Find the probability that (i) all 3 are red (ii) 1 is red and 2 are white

6. (a) If A = [m, n], B = [1, 2,3] and C = [x, y], find A x B x C


(b) Show that for any two sets 4 and B, (anB)1 =- A1u B1
