 HOW TO PLAY
This game can be played with up to 4 people. Each student can shoot the
1 ping pong ball (makeshift basketball) into one of the cups labeled with the
parts of speech and points to decide who gets to go first. Whoever makes it
in the highest point value cup (40) will be going first.
To begin each round, the first player will shoot the ball into a cup labeled
2 with points (it's best to shoot for the higher points). If you make it into the
cup that is labeled "Adjective" you will have to say an adjective in order to
receive the points and spaces. This cup is worth 30 points; if you answer
correctly, you get to move 3 spaces on the gameboard. If you answer
incorrectly, you do not move a space at all. Whichever cup you land in
determines how many spaces you can potentially move. (Ex: 20 points = 2
spaces, 40 points = 4 spaces)
Each player will then proceed to shoot the ball into the cups and correctly
3 say an answer that corresponds to the part of speech: adverb, adjective,
verb, noun.

The purpose of this game is to test your knowledge on the

4 parts of speech/grammar and make it to the finish line
first!
 HOW TO PLAY THE GAMEBOARD

As previously stated in the "How to Play" rules, each

1 player will move along the gameboard if they answer
with a correct adverb, adjective, verb, or noun.

Some spaces will be blank, others will have bonus turns

that say things like, "Shoot again! If you land in a cup

and answer correctly, you get to move an additional 2
spaces." or "If you miss a shot your next turn, move 1
space back."

Note: Players are not allowed to use the same answer

3 for different categories or more than once. Only the first
instance of the answer will be honored.
