Standard Operating Procedures


during MCO - Phase 4
Criteria to Accept Children Coming to School
● Both parents are working with no support system to take care of your child

● No outstanding fees from March 2020

● Number of students accepted would be based on numbers of available aunties at respective


schools, ratio is 1:7

● Please be alert on any further announcement via the school Whatsapp group

● Please avoid sending your child with any sickness or symptoms

● If your child is unwell at school, you are required to fetch your child soonest possible

● Parents are required to hand over the Health Declaration Form upon sending your child
Operation Hours
Teachers:
- 7am - 6pm

Children:
- 7am - 6pm

● Please be informed, there will be OT charges if parents will fetch their child later than 6PM.
- accumulate 1 hour: RM20
Receiving
Upon arrival at the campus:

- As our main priority will be our teachers’, students’ and parents’ safety, parents are
required to follow the teachers’ instructions strictly
- Parents are required to line up according to the markings on the floor
- Wearing masks is COMPULSORY for both parents and children
- Parents are not allowed to touch our school facilities (doorknob , playground etc).
- Logging in and out will be recorded by our teachers only.
- The process may take a longer time than normal due to the strict health screening that will
be imposed during receiving. Please be patient.
- Health screening process: please refer to the next slide.

Health Screening - All Staff
Upon arrival at the campus:

- Record temperature: 37.5 degrees and below are allowed to enter the campus
- No handshaking, hugging, high-fives or touching
- Sanitize the hands
- Put on disposable 3-ply face mask: to be worn throughout the day
- Staff are not allowed to enter the campus, if they are:
- unwell;
- having fever or flu-like symptoms (runny nose, cough, sore throat, shortness of
breath)
- in close contact with a Positive Covid-19 person
- currently just returned from overseas (non self-quarantine)
Health Screening - Children
Upon arrival at the campus:

- Greet both parent(s) & children with salam by putting your right hand to your chest
- No handshaking, hugging, high-fives or touching
- Record temperature of child: 37.5 degrees and below are allowed to enter the campus
- Sanitize the hands
- Ensure that the child has put on a disposable 3-ply face mask
- Children are not allowed to enter the campus, if they are
- unwell
- having fever or flu-like symptoms (runny nose, cough, sore throat, shortness of
breath)
- in close contact with a Positive Covid-19 person
- currently just returned from overseas (non self-quarantine)
Safe Distancing - Classroom
- Identify a clean, clear (uncluttered) and airy empty classroom/space to conduct lessons
temporarily to reduce risk of virus exposure

- Open windows and doors to allow airflow and better ventilation. Generally, avoid air
conditioning if possible as it re-circulates the room’s air

- Set-up lesson’s space within the safe and recommended distance (at least 1 meter)
according to the size of the room. Attempt to space out children as much as possible in the
room

- No sharing of classrooms among different classes

- Clean and sanitize the room and all items after every school’s session
● Remove or close unused items, shelves, storage space to minimise likelihood
of accidental or unplanned touching to avoid the spread of virus

Safe Distancing - Toilet Usage
1) Staggered toilet time

● Avoid having multiple classes going to the toilet at the same time, such as right after lunch or
recess, or messy or outdoor play.

● Teachers from all classes are advised to discuss their daily class schedules to avoid clashes for
toilet time

2) Maintain safe physical distance. Place 1-meter markers outside the toilet to guide children.

3) Place toilet hygiene visuals/posters at children’s eye level, such as:


● Close the toilet seat cover after using and then flush the toilet
● Wash hands with soaps and water after using toilet
Safe Distancing - Bathing
● Shower ONE child at a time. Wash (rinse) the bathroom or contact areas carefully after each
shower before another child uses it

● Each child should only shower ONCE in school

● Bathing time; Afternoon & Evening only. Teachers should make arrangement between classes to
avoid clashing of shower time
Safe Distancing - Changing
● Implement clothes/diaper changing ONE child at a time in the toilet

● When changing children out of dirty clothes, teachers must ensure that he/she is wearing a
mask

● Immediately put dirty clothes in a (laundry) bag and close it. For dirty diapers, throw them into a
covered waste bin straightaway

● Teachers and children must wash their hands with soaps and water before after changing

Safe Distancing - Meal times
● Children and teachers should have their meals in their respective classrooms to maintain safe
distancing with children from other classes

● No sharing of food and utensils

● Cook or food-handler should wear mask or spit-guards and avoid interacting with children

● Individually packed food is encouraged

● Sanitize utensils after using

Safe Distancing - Nap time
● Children are advised to sleep in their respective classrooms and avoid inter-class mixing during
nap time

● Assign each child an individual cot

● Space children 1 meter apart

● If teacher is needed to help children to take a nap, make sure they are wearing a mask and wash
their hands before and after supporting children

● Sanitize cot before and after using

- Prepare 7 cots for each class

Safe Distancing - School Dismissal
1) Spread out the pick-up time for all children. Arrange blocks of pick-up time for a small number of children,
at 10-15 minute intervals

2) Parents/caregivers should arrive at the school just before the designated pick-up time to reduce waiting
time, and avoid gathering in groups

3) Provide a large space for parents/guardians during waiting time. Put up 1-meter distance markers as
guidance while they are waiting to pick up their children

4) Conduct temperature taking for all children, staff and visitors leaving the school.

5) Avoid speaking with parents/guardian about the child’s day at school to avoid congregating for a
prolonged period. Communicate via phone or messaging app instead

6) TEACHERS: CLEAN & DISINFECT ALL AREAS (class, toilets, dining area, shelves, tables, chairs, cots & all
common touched areas/things) BEFORE LEAVING THE SCHOOL EVERYDAY
Important Reminder

● Please sanitize all materials after using it. Like kitchen utensils,
cot and apparatus.
