2. NATURE OF THE ACTIVITY


Water Safety Training is essential for us to be skilled and prepared nurses for possible emergency situations that
are caused by any hydrological calamities and to mold us to be future emergency responders.

2.1. Objectives / Goals


At the end of the training, the students will be able to:
1. Be more knowledgeable about swimming techniques
2. Gain self-confidence
3. Understand survival techniques
4. Communicate effectively and focus on teamwork and collaboration during this situation

2.2. Activities
Morning Circle / Orientation
Checking of attendance
Stretching
Learning the basic fundamentals of swimming
Learning breathing and recovery technique
Rescue swimming technique
Utilizing rope for water rescue
Group formation techniques for water survival
Jumping in 16 feet deep pool with life vest

April 17, 2024 is the scheduled date for our Water Safety Training that was held in DelaMar Resort, Timoga
wherein most of the participants are new to this activity. Before the start of our training, we begin it with prayer
then Sir Fajardo gathered us by group for our morning circle and orientation. After the orientation, we did
stretching along the poolside, we were taught about the basic fundamentals of swimming such as the breathing
and recovery techniques, we utilized the rope for possible water rescue and experienced jumping in 16 feet deep
pool with life vest and did group formation technique for water survival. We learned a lot and at the same time
we had so much fun, we built teamwork and observed that everyone is cooperative and participative on this
activity.
