ntroduction & Main Story

Arlia & Sylva

Arlia & Scared Forest

Depending on your chosen characters, You will end up in either Arila Village or
Scared Forest. There is nothing particularly interesting in these areas other than
basic battle controls and collectibles. Here are the collectibles for both areas.

Your character should now be at level 3 after examining a unique spot. You will
have acquired a new action (Air Slash for Claude or Antidote for Rena). You can
access the menu and equip skills immediately in the Special Arts/Spells menu
section.

Save often and Use multiple slots.

Just a heads up! There are a lot of unpredictable moments in this game. So, you
should save often, or you might regret it.

Introducing Player Menu

Let's talk about each section of the menu to make you familiar with the basic
system of the game.

Items: Self-explanatory. However, the Maximum number of each item that you
carry is different for each item, and it does not have much capacity. For example,
You can carry only 20 Blueberries. Therefore, Please do not hesitate to use it.
Equipment: Self-explanatory. This game will automatically show a prompt when
you find better equipment, but accessories are an exception. You should check the
character's accessories if you have time.
Special Arts/Spells: You can assign arts/spells to the assigned button here. If
you are controlling a fighter (e.g. Claude), you should update your assigned button
once you learn a new skill. You can manually select spells from battle menus for
magicians (e.g. Rena), so it is not much concern.
Improve: It only unlocks combat skills and special arts/spells at the present
time, and these consume BP. BP can be easily obtained from enemies and you can
choose to use it or save it for better arts/spells. I personally go for combat
skills first, making sure to upgrade melee-related skills for fighters and spell-
related skills for magicians.
Mission: Missions are separated into two types: Guild Missions, which are not
unlocked yet, and Challenge Missions. Challenge Missions serve as in-game
achievements, and you can receive rewards immediately from this menu. You can check
it regularly to receive items.

This tutorial is also included in the Menus and Battles Starter Guide.

Once you have finished collecting all the treasures and configuring your skills,
proceed to the main story. After a large section of the cutscene, You will end up
in Sylva regardless of the character you pick.

Sylva

Sylva Mines

Sylva Mines is the first proper dungeon for your main character (regardless of who
you picked) but you cannot access the path on Northwest right now.

The bonus gauge will be unlocked. You can now collect Sphere obtained from enemies
by defeating enemies, breaking enemies, or landing a critical hit. Collect enough
spheres to gain a bonus. These bonuses will carried over to the next battle. You
will lose all spheres you have obtained so far if you fail to perfect the counter,
the character you controlled is incapacitated or the enemy touches you from behind
in the map (enemy performs back attack).

These spheres are not hard to collect but it make you influrated if you lose all
the spheres you have collected so far. The first two conditions are not much
problem. You can just make your party wiped out and start it again. However, an
Enemy performing a back attack cannot reset your spheres back and you may
accidentally face away from enemies while enemies approach, so you must be careful
while controlling your enemies to do chain battle or AFK while in the dungeon.
Otherwise, just move on and collect spheres again.

The bonus you gain also depends on which formation you choose, You can select
formation in the Tactics menu section.
Sylva Mines Collectables

Robe cannot collect on the first visit. You need to revisit again by using fast
travel (from everywhere even in the dungeon).

Introducing Boss Battle & Strategy

This battle is the first battle where the two main characters fight alongside each
other. This boss is not hard to defeat if everyone in the party knows their roles
well. Since the AI in this game is not quite good, I recommend controlling Claude
to prevent the enemy from reaching Rena. Use arts to break Allen and then attack
while he is broken.

Alternatively, if you wish to control Rena, you can set Claude's tactics to protect
his allies. He will somehow try to defend the enemy from you, then you can use
Rena's spell to heal Claude and break Allen. You can assign only 2 spells to each
button. So, I think you should select the spell manually from the menu.

This tutorial is also included in the Menus and Battles Starter Guide.

After you defeat Allen, you will automatically travel back to Arlia and enjoy
another part of the story.
Arlia

Your next story quest is in Krosse, but before that, we will focus on the new
feature called Personal Action, or PA for short.
Introducing Personal Action

PA is another exploration mode that focuses on the side story of your chosen main
character. You can open the world map and see which city has a PA, then switch to
PA mode (from anywhere). While you are playing in PA mode, you cannot use fast
travel.

Some PAs also have time-limited (indicated by a yellow hourglass). Time-limited, in

this context, means they cannot be accessed anymore if you progress to a certain
point in the story, so you should proceed with them as soon as possible. However, a
few no-time-limited PAs also have conditions that make them inaccessible or alter
the result. So my recommendation is that you should proceed with PAs when they show
up.

PAs mainly change the relationship between characters in your party, which leads to
different endings. There are more than two endings in this game, so you can
experiment to see them all. All relationship points are gained in both directions.

I separated all PAs to another page. I recommend readers open PA's page with a new
tab alongside the main walkthrough. Each chapter matches to current page. (For
example, You can see available PAs in Arlia & Sylva)

PAs solely depend on your chosen characters.

For Claude, see Claude's Personal Action.

For Rena, see Rena's Personal Action.

If you collect everything and have done all PAs, then you can proceed to Krosse.
