III. The Country's Tourism Marketing Strategy In The New Environment (Done with links)

In the New Environment, the Ministry of Tourism in Brazil already proposed a recovery
strategy that is focused on boosting domestic and sustainable tourism. The government's support
of domestic tourism, sustainable development, solidarity economy, and smart destinations was
remarkable in Brazil with the COVID-19, as planning and action strategies, tourism research,
and improving the tourist experience were immediately taken action as tourism was fundamental
in the country. The tourism ministry implemented such initiatives for the post-pandemic
situations of Brazil and one of the strategies is the “Actions, Movements and Stamps” with a
campaign to encourage the rescheduling of the big events and trips instead of cancellation. Brazil
also released 500 million USD for taking action in the sector and they’ve taken another initiative
which is “Sanitary measures” that is done with the creation of a stamp to be given to the
enterprises that follow the recommendations of the Ministry of Tourism to prevent the spread of
coronavirus. The state of Sao Paulo, Brazil announced a partnership with the Inter-American
Development Bank for the development of projects for the sustainable recovery of tourism. In
addition, the Ministry of Tourism organized the "Innovation in Tourism Contest" to seek
sustainable and innovative solutions for the sector's revival and the development of Brazil's
tourism future. Brazil has been taking action through social media marketing that urges tourists
not to cancel but consider on rescheduling the visit to Brazil as the Tourism Ministry launched a
digital campaign which offers tourists to visit the country after the pandemic is over. The
message highlights that Brazil will welcome everyone with open arms as soon as the current
crisis ends. The video campaign, entitled “Brazil, you want it! We got it!”, showcases footage of
some of the most beautiful sights that the country has to offer to every tourist around the world.
