(c} Condition Mapping:

1. Materia l mapping including material extent, compos


ition, behaviour and residual
strength
2. Defects mapping including exfoliation, scaling, staining,
patina, algae growth,
cracking, deformation, powdering, black encrustation, etc.
3. Structural system and issues including evaluation of residual
strength and impact of
water
4. Existing built infrastructure including shafts, tunnels
etc and visual mapping of
infrastructure including electricity, cable for surveillance,
communication, fire
fighting, water supply and sewage tunnels in basement
5. Additions and alterations of all Interventions including
movable and immovable
furniture and modifications to the original structure like construc
tion of water tank

• SPA Bhopal shall require unhindered access for collection of


specimen samples of
material and information to install all equipments for data
collection.
• Some dismantling of current interventions inclusive of Infrastru
cture may be
required.
• Investigations shall be conducted in-situ lab as well as through
relevant agencies.
They may require specific term for results.
• Many activities in this clause are sequential, and may not
proceed before results are
received from relevant tests/agencies.
• Unforeseen discoveries/ circumstances may lead to addition
of works.
• Any procedural delays may affect the work completion
deadlines.

(d) Inventory of original objects, furniture and fixtures

These add authenticity, value and significance to the


structure. They need to be
recorded for its growing antiquity value and may contribu
te for use and reference in the
choice of material and design during the phase Ill of the museum
design.

• SPA Bhopal shall require cooperation towards accessib


ility and necessary
permissions for completion of works.

(e) Investigation and installation of monitoring system

Investigation of the site issues sh~II be supported by the


installation of various tools and
techniques to assess the extent of damage and scope of
further deterioration. This shall
include lab tests from various locations on the site, installati
ons of thermographs, crack
gauge where necessary, moisture meter etc.
