CALCULATION SHEET
DESIGN FORCE

Maximum forces taken from the analysis.

• Fx= 18.63 kN
• Fy = 13.98 kN

Resultant Forces ,Frv = √𝑓𝑥 2 + 𝑓𝑦 2

• Frv = 23.3 kN (Resultant Force)

Check adequacy of bolt connection (Reference: HILTI HSA Stud Anchor )

Using 4 Nos at top & 2 Nos at bottom anchor bolt M16

For Tensile Load, NRD = 16.6 kN

Thus, the capacity of four (4) bolts = 16.6 x 4 = 66.4 kN > Frv = 23.3 kN
Therefore, the tensile force is within the limit.

For Shear Load, VRD= 18.9 kN

Thus, the capacity of four (4) bolts = 18.9 x 4 = 75.6 kN > Frv = 23.3 kN
The shear force is within the limit.

Therefore, the tensile force capacity is adequate to sustain the bracket load
