CHARACTER ANALYSIS:

Shakespeare has portrayed Antonio as a wealthy and arrogant character


who suffers from chronic depression. Analyse the character in the light of the
statement.

Using detailed references from the play, show how Shakespeare presents
Shylock as morally upright, a villain, and a victim of anti-Semitism.

In an Elizabethan society where women were oppressed, Portia comes out to


be a courageous, quick-witted, and confident female. Analyse.

THEME ANALYSIS:

“Revenge is a kind of wild justice,” in light of its account analyse the events
of the play and provide evidence to support the statement.

“I am as like to call thee so again, to spit on thee again, to spurn thee too,”
Analyse different characters and events and support them with evidence of
how they showcased racial prejudice.

A little bit of mercy makes the world less cold and more just. In light of this
statement, analyse how different characters exhibited this attribute
providing evidence.
