Yanny My Kid Sister
Yanny is my sister. She is just two years old but she likes to play outside a lot.

A digraph is the name given to two successive letters that represent a single sound. It could
be vowel letters like “ai” in rain or consonant digraphs like “ph” in phone. When you find two
different vowels together in a word; The first vowel over rides the second vowel. Lets take a

It was a very hot day. Anna’s Mum did not want to get out in the sun. But she
had to go to the market. Her dad did not want to get out in the sun, but he had
to go to the farm. Anna did not want to go to school. She told mum she was
sick. Mum told Anna to go back to bed. Then mum went to the market and dad
went to the farm. Anna was alone in the house. She slept for one more hour
then she got up. Her mum was still not yet back from the market. She sat in

Time Concepts
Reading the time using past only.
When you count the strokes from 12-1, it gives you 5 minutes. This means from 12-1
is 5. 1-2 is another 5 making 10. Lets link it and count in 5s to read the time.
The time is 15 minutes past 1. The time is 25 minutes past 1.
The time is 20 minutes past 2. The time is 40 minutes past 2.
*Teach quarter past and half past by dividing the clock into fractions on the board.
