SITE DEVELOPMENT PLAN ONLY
DESIGN RATIONALE
A well-known university is relocating its main campus
to a large lot in Silang, Cavite, overlooking Laguna de
Bay. A bustling Santa Rosa, Laguna, is only a short
distance away from the site. A collaboration between
the aforementioned popular university and the
current location of an old university campus. Existing
structures will be demolished to make way for a
more sustainable new development.
The orientation of school buildings and sports
facilities is especially important. Take note of noisy
and busy areas, building relationships and
connections, road hierarchy and traffic and
circulation flows, and access roads. The breathtaking
view of Laguna Bay should not be overlooked.
THE SITE
The location is in Silang, Cavite. The 50 hectare-lot is
slightly sloping bounded on the northwest by Santa
Rosa-Tagaytay Road and on the east by a minor road.
There is already an entrance, which the new school
owner intends to keep. However, the minor road
could be used as a secondary minor access. The
internal road are to be kept but can be re-routed if so
needed.
There are a lot of matured Narra trees inside that
they want to keep as much as possible. It could be
"balled out" and moved to another location on the
site.
