And of course where are the grade 10 level

We would like to acknowledge as well the presence of our faculty and staff.

Now that we are all set, let us now officially begin our program

Today, marks a day as an event to help us showcase our talents

MAPEH, which stands for Music, Art, Physical Education, and Health, has great
importance because it culturally enrich students and help us enjoy and learn new
things.

This is such a great opportunity for us students to show our talents and to celebrate
the variety of arts and culture.

And for today’s event, We are about to witness every grade levels performance as
result of the acquired competencies in our MAPEH subject.

We have anticipated long enough for this day to come with painstaking efforts in our
practices
and the wishful thoughts now come into reality.

So what are we waiting for. Let us begin as we welcome you in our MAPEH
culminating activity.

To officially open our program ,Let us invoked the presence of the Holy Spirit as we
start with an opening prayer.

And please remain standing for singing of our national anthem.


Alright, you may now settle down stay comfortable in your places.

Ladies and gentlemen without further ado, let us now lend our ears and open our
hearts to the opening remarks of our school principal DR. Aida C. Abad

Finally we are now in the moment we have been waiting for.

Philippine folk dance is one of the Philippine cultures that incorporate influences from
immigrants and conquerors while at the same time maintaining their own national
identity. Most dances in the country were inspired by everyday activities, such as
working in the fields and harvesting rice, as well as celebrations such as feasts,
weddings, and births. freedom to learn, grow, and evolve. It is still the same
movement it was in the 70’s – the one that gave the inner-city youth the motivation to
live a better life.

1. Maguindanaoan Dance: This refers to traditional dances originating from the


Maguindanao province in the Philippines. These dances often reflect the rich
cultural heritage of the Maguindanaoan people and may include movements
that mimic the actions of nature, animals, or traditional activities like farming
or hunting. They are often accompanied by traditional music and colorful
costumes.
2. Maranao Dance: Maranao dance is a form of cultural expression from the
Maranao people of the Philippines, particularly from the Lanao region. These
dances often depict stories from their folklore, legends, or religious beliefs.
Maranao dances are characterized by graceful movements, intricate hand
gestures, and vibrant costumes. They are often performed during important
cultural events and celebrations.
3. Lapay Bantigue: It is a local dance art festival that originated from the
graceful movements of hovering birds known as seagulls or the LAPAY, found
abundant in Barangay Bantigue, Masbate.
4. Tinikling: Tinikling is a traditional Philippine folk dance that originated in the
Visayan islands. It involves two people rhythmically beating, tapping, and
sliding bamboo poles on the ground and against each other, while dancers
step over and between the poles. The dance requires precision, agility, and
coordination as dancers gracefully maneuver through the moving bamboo
poles. Tinikling is inspired by the movement of the tikling birds, which the
dance is named after. It originated during the Spanish colonial era
5. Cheerdance: Cheerdance is a form of performance art that combines
elements of cheerleading, dance, and gymnastics. Cheer-Dance is a dynamic
combination of cheerleading moves and stylish dance. We will learn a variety
of high energy routines performed to fun music. Group formations and
individual expression will have you feeling like a professional cheerleader
here. Cheerdance routines are often energetic, dynamic, and visually
captivating, incorporating music, costumes, and props to enhance the
performance.
