1. Scope:
This specification specifies brushless DC motor for Fan Coil Unit. Motor should meet

this specification requirement.

Motor can be set constant speed or constant torque working mode by the ToolBox.

4.3.2 Current limit. The motor will limit the output current automatically based on the
input AC voltage and the temperature of power module
4.3.3 Under voltage protection. When the input power voltage is lower than “Min” value,
the motor will go into protect mode and reduce the output torque. When the input power
voltage is lower than “Stop” value, the motor will stop.

4.3.4 Other protection
Locked rotor: When the motor is in locked rotor state, it will stop and run again after the
locked rotor disappears.

exceed the value of following table in any circumstances.

8. Package
The package of the motor can fully protect the motor in the process of transportation, and
it’s also can avoid the pollution and damp.

9．Reliability
9.1 High temperature test：
1) Stator in 150℃ ambient for 96 hours without applying voltage（not include

plastic cover）

2) Motor in normal ambient for 24 hours

3) Test the insulation resistance should be more than 10MΩ

9.2 Low temperature test：
1) Motor in -30℃ ambient for 96 hours without applying voltage

2) Removing the water drops on the motors surface, put motor in normal ambient for

24 hours

3) Test the insulation resistance should be more than 10MΩ

9.3 High humidity operation test：
1) Motor in the environment of 40 ±3℃ and 90~95% RH for 95 hours with the rated

load

2) Motor in the environment of normal temperature and humidity for 24 hours

3) Test the insulation resistance should be more than 10MΩ

9.4 High humidity and high temperature test：
1) Motor in 60℃±3℃, RH90%~95% ambient for 96 hours without applying voltage.

2) Motor in normal ambient for 24 hours

3) Test the insulation resistance should be more than 10MΩ

9.5 Mechanical shocking test (Vibration resistance test)
Motor is vibrated with a amplitude of 2mm, 16.7Hz without applying voltage, for 30

minutes in each of X,Y and Z directions

9.6 Rubber hardness:
The hardness of motor rubber is required as 40-47 (Shore A) normally. After keeping

the rubber in 120ºC 96 hours, the hardness should be less than 58 (Shore A).
9.7 Rotor locking：
When the motor in rotor locking condition, it won’t burn, and the motor will work

normally after rotor release.

10. Safety attention

10.1 The specify performance is motor only performance at defined condition, additional
performance in customer unit should evaluate in customer unit.

10.2 Should cut down power supplier of motor first when motor break down or smokes

10.3 Don’t apply voltage on the motor which high than max voltage

10.4 Don’t touch the motor when motor is power on.

10.5 Don’t plug on/off motor when unit or power supplier is power on.

10.6 Consult to solve issue between both company when found anything can’t involve or
meet this specification.
