The theme for this term's work is the concept of Power and Conflict, so let's use today to
revisit the importance of status in Drama. There are some questions below that I would like
you to answer to recap Status.

1. What is status in Drama? How do we define it?


It how high you are up the social class ladder. It can be defined by your posture, other
sorts of behaviours
2. What sorts of things give us status in life? For example, wealth can give status
A wife, nice house, nice cars
3. What sort of physical and vocal choices might you make to show high status
Look confident, not afraid of speaking to large crowd of people, loud and dominant voice
4. What sort of physical and vocal choices might you make to show low status
Look anxious, afraid of speaking up, weak
