A compound sentence is made up of two independent clauses joined by conjunctions


for, and, nor, but, or, yet, so. This sentence can be used to show problem-solution
relationship of ideas.
Examples:
1. Sheena had no cupcakes for dessert so she made some pineapple jam.
(independent clause- problem) (conjunction) (independent clause- solution)
