1. In an environmental system there are two components that are interrelated to one
another. Mention the two components. Explain its function for life
2. As a process engineer, you can learn from the biochemical processes of
biopolymer formation that take place in environmental systems. What is great
about the process, provide an explanation of your answers
3. To carry out an environmental system analysis, several approaches are needed.
Explain some of these approaches and which are the most practical and cheap
4. The mixing zone model can be used to predict the impact from 4 (four) industrial
wastewater non-conservative pollutants. Describe it with picture.
5. Describe the profile of organic pollutants (BOD) and Dissolved Oxygen (DO) as a
function of time or distance in river water, when the river is polluted by organic
pollutants that are easily decomposed from industry. Explain the picture.
6. The Gaussian model is used to predict pollution from industrial chimneys. What
are parameters that relate as a Process Engineer and Environmental Engineer in the
model ?. Explain your answer.
7. Why are emission factors so needed to help predict air pollution? Give examples
and explain it.
