1.1 THE BUSINESS
Name: Our general supplies business name is “RAINGUARD SECURITY &
SURVELLANCE KENYA LTD.
Rainguard Security and Surveillance Kenya Ltd is a registered professional private security
company licensed by the Government of Kenya to operate within the Republic of Kenya.
Complete with a wide range of technical knowledge, experience and expertise we provide
comprehensive security solutions. Combined with international exposure; Rainbow Guarding
and Surveillance LTD London -UK, we take pride in offering security services with utmost
integrity, competence, discipline and professionalism.

1.1.1 REGISTRATION
Rain Guard Security & Surveillance Kenya Ltd was registered in Kenya as a limited
Company on 23rd January 2021 through Certificate of incorporation number PVT- 8LUJB5.
The business is under 3 directors namely Julius Kamau Nguti, Pauline Waitherero Kamau and
Peninah Njeri Kamau.
The directors have extensive knowledge in security, safety, cash handling and close protection
services including occupational health and safety regulations in working areas.

1.1.2 OUR HISTORY

Rainguard Security & Surveillance is a Kenyan company dedicated to the provision of
excellent security services. We are capable of dealing with all your security needs and offer a
complete range, planning system analysis and design as well as executive services.
The company was established in by a senior Kenya Security Services Officer who went onto
a freelance career as a specialist consultant in security related projects. His extensive
operational and command experience in specialized areas such as counterterrorism,
antiguerrilla warfare, special operations, special weapons and tactics, V.I.P creating and
training elite units makes Rain Guard security a uniquely experienced company. All of our
senior management has either military or police experience and this knowledge is passed on
to our other personnel and have acquired an in-depth perspective of Kenyan trends and
conditions.
Each and every one of our personnel have and will continue to acquire the professional
knowledge and skills required to perform their tasks and will implement them while striving
continuously to perfect their personal and collective achievements.

Mr. Julius Kamau Nguti is the Executive Director of the organization, under whose headship
we will be scaling new heights in the business of security services. He is a successful
entrepreneur in a range of local and international businesses with keen interest in security
matters and does not believe in failure but in change of tact. Ms. Pauline Waitherero and
Ms.Peninah Njeri Kamau are Managing directors respectively on whose shoulders the

1.3 THE EXECUTIVE

The business is driven by 3 working directors and a team of senior managers in Operations,
procurement, finance and Administration, who have accumulated more than 20 years’
experience in the Security, Finance, ICT, Administration and Procurement fields. The

proprietors are involved in the business development, training, project management and
administration of the business.
The management team proactively gathers feedback, identifies changes in the security business
environment, reviews work processes and communicates key learning points and business
policy to all staff at regular meetings.
Our staffs are crucial in the delivery services and solution to our clients. In order to ensure that
everyone is equipped with the right skills, knowledge and attitude, a comprehensive training
program is put in place to constantly upgrade our people in technical and management Skills.
We believe firmly in providing the right training, accredited certification and practical
knowledge of our staff, in order for them to execute their duties and responsibilities confidently.

GUARDS RECRUITMENT & TRAINING

GUARDS RECRUITMENT CRETERIA

We have set ourselves the following basic criteria, which must be met before
recruitment of a guard int the company for training:

Requirements
Must be a Kenyan citizen
Age 25- 45 years
Height 5ft 9 inches and above for men and 5ft 7 inches for ladies
At least a Certificate of Secondary Education Mean Grade D+ and above with
exceptional good communication skills and customer care.
Mandatory Certificate of good conduct from Criminal Investigation police
Department
Letter of reference from Government Administrative are Chief
Possession of a Kenyan National Identity Card
Letters of introduction from two referees giving their contacts together with
copies of their National Identity Cards.
A letter from previous employer
Having met the above requirement, the candidates sit for an aptitude test and only those who
pass are admitted to the training school.
TRAINING
The guards undergo a three (3) weeks intensive training course in the capable hands of
qualified trainers with a rich security background gained from the Kenya Armed Forces and
other disciplined forces under the direct supervision of the Operations Manager who then
reports to the Managing Director. The training ensures that, the recruits are fully conversant
with their responsibilities and procedures involved in efficiently carrying out their duties.

1.5 BUSINESS INFRASTRUCTURE

We have a s facility in Ruiru, with 10,000 square feet that acts as an office and training area
and a transshipment warehouse for security goods in transit to the procuring entities. The
warehouse stocking is done according to world best practice in warehousing to avoid damages
and ensure Safety and Health of the workers according to the Occupational Safety and Health
Act 2007.

1.6 SECURITY SERVICES

1.6.1 SITE SECURITY EVALUATIONS / RISK ANALYSIS
We provide services for site security evaluations and risk analysis for planned events or
building and construction developments. Our highly experienced security experts are able to
evaluate all the risks apparent in a particular area and recommend the necessary personnel and
security equipment to be deployed.

1.6.2 MANNED GUARDING

Our large work force of highly trained guards will provide unmatched and professional security
detail including crowd control, access monitoring, threat identification and neutralization. The
guard force is highly trained in hand to hand combat as well as use of defensive and offensive
tools as most of our staff are trained by former paramilitary trainers and work closely with
Kenya National Security (police).

1.6.3 ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEMS

We offer a wide range of access control systems including automated gates, counter rotary
gates, bio-data activated access systems and card activated access points. We have a technical
team with vast experience and training in installation of access equipment as needed.

1.6.4 GATED ESTATE SECURITY SOLUTIONS
Our range of security services also includes the deployment of gated estate security control.
This includes the attachment of 2 or more guards at the gate who are trained in operating hand
barriers, automated barriers and also visitor details collection. The gate guard detail is also
trained in visitor interaction and also in detection of intent through visitor behavior analysis.

1.6.5 RECEPTION SECURITY

1.6.6 ALARM MONITORING AND EMERGENCY RESPONSE

We have both stationery units based at the security bases at our offices who monitor all the
client alarm systems. These teams deploy the mobile rapid response teams strategically located
in urban residential areas. These mobile teams are composed of teams of 5 guards stationed on
a technical pickup truck that is quick to respond to security distress in their immediate areas
once an alarm has been raised.

1.6.7 CCTV SURVEILLANCE & ONLINE MONITORING
We install CCTV cameras in large malls and buildings and deploy trained guards to monitor
the screens on a real time basis. This helps to identify threats to security or cases of theft and
burglary. Our teams can as such respond quickly through communication on the hand held vhf
radios that each guard patrol office is equipped with.

1.6.8 SECURITY INVESTIGATIONS

Upon an incident of crime, Rainguard has a special investigation unit. After the fact
investigations of crimes and theft is a specialized unit within our company. We have trained
personnel who are capable of Stigati0ns to determine commission of a crime. Where assistance
from the armed police is required, these teams cooperate with them to apprehend the culprits.

1.6.9 BODY GUARDS & VIP PROTECTION

Rainguard security also offers body guard and VIP protection services. Our close protection
unit is trained in VIP protection and crowd control. We have continuously been retained to
provide close protection to celebrities during open performances and events. We also provide
VIP transport and escort detail

1.7.0 ELECTRIC FENCING

Our fencing team will conduct a site survey to determine the quantity of fencing equipment
needed and develop a bill of quantity and cost of the project. We will further construct the
electric fence around your property and provide all the necessary equipment.
