You will need: I used Heirloom Cotton:
• 8ply Cotton Yarn in 5 different colours • Citrus Lemon (6696) Yarn A
• 3.5mm crochet hook • White (6607) Yarn B
• Yarn needle • Pale Green(6612) Yarn C
• scissors • Pale Pink (6605) Yarn D
• Coral Pink (6611) Yarn E
• You could use any 8ply cotton

UK instructions

Round 1
Using Yarn A, work 8 dc into a magic ring,
slst into initial dc and fasten off. (8 dc)

Round 2
Attach Yarn B, (ch 3, 4 tr) in the same stitch,
you now have 5 tr to make your first pc, ch 1,
(pc, ch 1) into each of the remaining 7
stitches, slst into back of the initial pc and
fasten off. (8 pc, 8 ch)

Round 3
Attach Yarn C at any ch-1 sp, ch 3 (counts as
first tr), 3 more tr into the same sp. Work 4 tr
into each of the remaining 7 ch-1 sp, slst into
the third ch of the initial ch 3 and fasten off.
(32 tr)

Round 4
Attach Yarn D, ch 3 (counts as first tr), 2 tr in
the next, *(1 tr in next, 2tr in next) rep from *
around, slst into top of inital ch3 and fasten
off. (48 tr)

Round 5
Attach Yarn E, ch 4 (counts as 1 tr, ch 1), tr in
the same st, ch 1, skip a st and work one pc
into the next, ch 1. * skip a st, (tr, ch 1, tr) in
the next, ch 1, skip a st, pc in the next, ch 1 *
repeat from * to 10 more times, slst into 3rd
ch of inital ch 4 and fasten off. (12 pc, 12 v
st).

Round 6
Attach Yarn A at to any v st and ch 4 (counts
as first dtr), (2 dtr, ch 3, 3 dtr) in same sp (this
forms your first corner), ch 1, 3 tr in the next
v st, ch 1, 3 tr in the next v st, ch 1, * (3 dtr,
ch 3, 3 dtr) in the next v st, ch 1, 3 tr in the
following v st, ch 1, 3 tr in the next v st, ch 1,
repeat from * twice more and then slst into
top of inital ch 4, fasten off. (4x {3 dtr, ch3, 3
dtr}, 8x 3 tr groups at sides).
