1. How could GreenTech have better integrated the strategic importance of product

and service design at the outset to avoid the initial misalignment with consumer

expectations?

Greentech should have conducted market research to find out what their

consumers wanted. Product testing before releasing it is also important as to see

how well the products would have performed in various situations. To

consumers, visual presentation is the number one eye-catcher. Most of the time,

consumers buy a product because of their visual appeal. The marketing team

should do better in researching market trends and their competitors in order to

find out what type of products would make them stand out from what is currently

on the market. They should also learn how to integrate ethical and sustainable

processes in the creation and marketing of the product.

2. What strategies could GreenTech employ to broaden their design perspectives

beyond internal brainstorming sessions? How might these strategies impact the

innovation process and product alignment with market needs?

GreenTech should test the product after brainstorming and creating a prototype.

Through testing, GreenTech will know what problems they must fix for the

product to work as intended. GreenTech should compare the product to their

competitors’ products. Comparing their product to competitors’ products will help

them find out what it is that the competitors do good and do it better.
3. Discuss how GreenTech could more effectively incorporate sustainability into

their product design from the beginning. What specific actions could they take to

ensure that their products reflect their commitment to environmental

responsibility throughout their lifecycle?

GreenTech should ensure that the materials used in creating their products use

environmental-friendly materials. The use of environmental-friendly materials can

reduce waste and encourages the reuse and recycling of these materials.

Pollution is a prominent problem today and through proper waste management,

use of eco-friendly materials, and recycling, GreenTech will be able to commit to

their environmental responsibility.
