Narrator: A long time ago, in the town of Nazareth, lived a young woman named Mary.

Mary did her chores, was kind to others, and loved God very much. She was engaged to
be married to Joseph, who was a carpenter.
And this how the birth of Jesus the Messiah came about. God sent the angel Gabriel to
Nazareth, a town in Galilee.

SCENE 1 Angel: (TINGIN: baba; ANGLE: low). Mary: (TINGIN: taas; ANGLE: high)
(The angel appears to Mary. Mary cleaning)
Angel: Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.
Mary: (magugulat na mauutal) What do you want?
Angel: Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. You will conceive and
give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the
Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, and he
will reign over Jacob’s descendants forever; his kingdom will never end.
Mary: I'm confused. How will this be, since I am a virgin?
Angel: The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow
you. So the holy one will be called the Son of God. Even Elizabeth your relative is going
to have a child in her old age, and she who was said to unable to conceive is in her sixth
month. For no word from God will ever fail.
Mary: I am the Lord's servant. May your word to me be fulfilled.
(The angel then disappeared, and Mary is left alone.)

Narrator: Mary hurried to Zechariah’s home in a town in the hill country of Judea. Mary
stayed with Elizabeth for about three months and then returned home. Mary was pledged
to be married to Joseph but before the came together, she was found to be pregnant
through the Holy Spirit. Because Joseph was faithful to the law and yet did not want to
expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly. But after he had
considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream.

Angel voice over: Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your
wife.

 Joseph voice over: Why should I take her as my wife, she is going to have a baby to
another man.
Angel voice over: No, Joseph, what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. Mary is
going to have God's son and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save
his people from their sins.
Joseph voice over: OK. I'll take her as my wife and love her till the end. (happily)
(magigising si Joseph)
Narrator: In those days Caesar Augustus issued a decree that a census should be taken
of the entire Roman world. This was the first census that took place while Quirinius was
governor of Syria. And everyone went to his own town to register.
(para bang naalimpungatan si joseph hahaha)
Mary: Joseph, what is wrong?
Joseph: I'm very happy you are going to have a baby.
Mary: Why yes I am. Isn't it wonderful?
Joseph: We must go to Bethlehem, to register you as my wife.

SCENE 3 (Angle: normal)

Scene 3.A (lakad lakad kunware)
(At Bethlehem)
Joseph: My love, are you okay? Don’t worry we will find some place to stay.
Mary: I’m okay (masayang haggard ang mukha). It’s just I’m happy that I will give birth to
him soon. And I believe the God will not let us down.
(malayo kunware ang tingin)
Joseph: My love, I can see a shelter there. Let us go.

Scene 3.B
(1st house)
(Joseph knocks on the door) (voice over na lang kunware may kausap si Joseph)
Joseph: Is anybody here? (pagbukas ng pinto)
VO 1: What do you want?

 Joseph: May we have a room? Please!
VO 1: We are full, Go away peasants! (angrily)
Mary: please let us stay for a while. It’s been 3 days and 3 nights since we are walking. I
hope that you would let your house and heart open for us.
VO 1: I’m sorry but I can’t. We are too many in this house. Just find another one.
Joseph: If that is so, we are very sorry and thank you. (titingin kay Mary) My love, what
are we going to do now?
Mary: Don’t worry, Joseph. Let us not lose our faith. Don’t be afraid. Lord cannot forget
us.

Scene 3.C
(2nd house)
(kakatok ulit si joseph)
Joseph: Good evening! May we have a room? My wife will be giving birth soon. Just a
small place will do. Please.
VO 2: what do you think of my place? I won’t allow you.
Joseph: We’re sorry.

Scene 3.D
(makikitang hirap na hirap silang naglalakad)
(3rd house)
(kakatok ulit si Joseph)
Joseph: Can we have some place to stay? We are from the Nazareth. My wife is about
to give birth to our child. She is very tired. We are very sorry.
Peasant 2: I can’t let you stay in my house. We already full but I have a barn next to my
place, it has animals in it, it is warm, and there is plenty of straw to lie on.
Joseph: It is okay with us. Thank God and to you.
Mary: Thanks to God and He heard our prayer.
Narrator: They immediately went to that place and there she gave birth to his son named
Jesus, the King of Kings, the one who will save the world.

Narrator: Shepherds, who lived near Bethlehem, were out at night in their fields watching
over their sheep.
VO 2: Look everyone, look at that!
VO 1: Not just one Angel, many Angels!
Angel: Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.
Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. This will
be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger. Glory to
God, and peace to all people here on earth.

VO 2: Does everyone know this news?

VO 1: I think it's just us.
VO 2: We must tell everyone about this baby.
VO 1: We must go to see this baby that the angels are talking about.
Narrator: As soon as they left they began shouting in the streets.
VO 1: The King of kings has been born. (shouting)
VO 2: Yes. The King of Kings the one who will save us.

SCENE 5 (Wise men TINGIN: taas; ANGLE: normal)

Wise man 1: What is that bright light in the sky?
Wise man 2: It's a star isn't it?
Wise man 3: Yes, it's a star.
Wise man 2: It's the star we have been looking for!
Wise man 1: Yes, the star that means the King of the Jews...
Wise men 3: ...the One who would save the world has been born.
(background: kunware maraming tao)
Voice over: Oh King a special baby has been born.

 King Herod: Where is this baby? (angry) People of my land do you know where this
baby has been born?
Voice Over 3: We know where this special baby has been born, in the Bethlehem.
King Herod: Thank you my people.
King Herod: Wise men, Wise men come to me.
Wise men 3: What is it my Lord?
King Herod: Do you know of this Baby?

Narrator: After they had spoken to the King, the wise men left to find the baby.
Wise man 2: How are we to find this baby? We don't know exactly where this baby is.
Wise man 3: This is what we will do, at night we'll follow the star to the east.
Wise man 1: Yes, that's a great idea and soon we will find him.
Wise man 3: (magugulat nang mapatingin sa langit) look!
(Angels appeared to the Wise men)
Angel: Please find this baby, but don't tell the King. As he wants to kill him. Take the
baby very expensive gifts, gifts that you would give to a King.
(Wiseman2 TINGIN: taas)
Wise men 2: Yes we shall do what you ask of us.
(The Angels disappeared)
Wise man 1: Look, we are here.
(makikitang luluhod ang wise men)
Wise man 1: We have come to worship our New King.
Wise man 3: We have brought gifts for our King.
Wise man 1: I have brought GOLD for My King.
Wise man 2: I have brought FRANKINCENSE for My King.

 Wise man 3: And I have brought MYRRH for My King.
Mary: Thank you bringing these gifts for Jesus.
Joseph: How can we ever thank you.
Narrator: The wise men went to find a place to sleep for the night. Angels appeared to
the Wise men as they were sleeping and said that “Remember never tell the King. King
Herod doesn't want to find Jesus to worship him; he wants to kill him because he is jealous
that this baby will someday be better than him”

SCENE 7

Angel voice over: Joseph, Joseph wake up!
Joseph voice over: Yes, what is wrong?
Angel voice over: Take Jesus and Mary and run away to Egypt. King Herod is going to
search for Jesus to kill him.
(magiging si joseph)
Joseph: Mary wakeup, we must leave now in the night.
Mary: Why must we leave?
Joseph: We must leave to travel to Egypt, As the King has sent someone to kill Jesus.
Narrator: They were safe in Egypt, and after King Herod died an angel appeared to
Joseph and told him to go to a place called Nazareth. And that's where Jesus grew up.
