DEHYDRATION

Peak value for Precondenser is 1.54 MMkcal/h @ 50÷150°C during initial Water removal. The duration of
this phase is about 55 minutes with a ULO circulating Flow Rate of 50000 kg/h.

With the new Precondenser (450 tubes, 6096 mm) and the DS specified Flow Rate of 503883 kg/h the
CW differential Temperature is 32÷35°C for total vapours condensation.

Dehydration Vacuum System is now working with only the SINGLE STAGE JET EJECTOR with a CW
consumption of 216 m3/h (from YUNITCO).

From SIM results the new Precondenser can decrease the Vent Gas Temperature to about 32.41°C
making the SINGLE STAGE JET EJECTOR CW temperature increase negligible.

YUNITCO has never indicated the MPS consumption of the Dehydration Vacuum System.
From evaluation on the basis of Dehydration Vacuum System for other Re-refining project the
MPS consumption for 800 MTPD is about 132 kg/h with a relative CW consumption of 11.8 m3/h for
1.24 MMkcal/h.

Total CW Duty and required circulation flow are 1.54+1.24=2.78 MMkcal/h and 504+11.8=515.8 m3/h.

Furthermore, YUNITCO Dehydration CW is consumed from Mechanical Seals with no data available
on YUNITCO CW circulation. EBARA will inform us on CW requirements.

In other Dehydration phases the Precondenser Duty is Max. 0.007 MMkcal/h and so CW consumption
is about 1.2+11.8 m3/h.
