The Bachelor of Science in Social Work - 3A of the City of Malabon University is currently
enrolled in the Course Code: SWP322 with Course Title: Seminar on Current Trends in Social Work
Practice under the advisory of Prof. Madonna Ang Sundiam, RSW, MSSW (cnd). As a partial
requirement of the course and in celebration of Social Workers’ Month, the students are tasked to
organize a seminar.

The Agents of CHANGE group will have its Seminar entitled “CHILDREN
SAFEGUARDING: A Strategic Initiative for the Prevention of Children in Conflict with the Law
(CICL)”, on March 15, 2024, from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM, at the Audio-Visual Room of the City of
Malabon University. This will specifically focus on the children's protection in emergencies in the
context of Children in Conflict with the Law.

In line with this, we humbly request your permission to recommend the invitation letter to our
Guest Speaker, Mr. Christian James De Guia, RSW, the Social Worker in Charge of Bahay Pag-asa,
Malabon City, for the above-mentioned event, subject to the approval of Dr. De Leon. Attached
herewith is the letter intended for Mr. De Guia, and our project proposal.
