Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at approximately 6:04p.

Welcome and Introductions

President Tracy welcomed everyone.

Niños Corner (Formerly Principal’s Corner)

 Principal Tonja Yalung spoke about the District Meeting about AZMERIT data forthcoming in November
Parents need to prepare for the data to be quite different from previous years as the standards are now higher.
One skill that she emphasized is typing as this test is entirely on the computer.
 Interventions is now named “Read to Succeed”

Girls on the Run- Kelly Chavez-Allen re-introduced the program for 3rd-5th grade girls.

Volunteer Requests

 Box Tops/Labels/Kelloggs
 Teacher Workroom
 Reading Program Distribution – Book Distribution begins in November. Four volunteers needed for
distribution. Chapter, upper level books are greatly needed. Drop off books to the Front Office.
 Book Fair October 19-23, 2015
 Fall Festival November 6, 2015.
 Turkey Trot

Minutes and Budget Review

Marina motioned to approve Budget. It was seconded and unanimously approved.
