the country or institution where you studied. This information will ensure that you send the

IRCC asks applicants to submit only their highest completed credential for an
Educational Credential Assessment (ECA). Please review the notes below to
determine which credentials you should send. To avoid delays, do not send
additional documents unless they are requested by WES.

Learn what to send based on your highest completed credential:

If you have a Título de Doctor...
You do not need to submit your Especialista or Magister degrees for evaluation.

If you have a Magister or Título de Médico…

You do not need to submit your Técnico Superior, Tecnólogo, Licenciado or Título
Profesional degrees for evaluation.

If you have a Técnico Superior, Tecnólogo, Licenciado or Título Profesional…

You do not need to submit your Título de Bachiller for evaluation.
Your ECA report will not contain the following:

Anything below secondary school education (such as primary and

elementary school)
Non-academic credentials (for example: Microsoft Office Training)
Professional or career training qualifications

Do not send original documents. WES does not require any original documents to
process a credential evaluation report. Documents that you submit for evaluation
will not be returned and will be destroyed by WES at its sole discretion.

1. Academic Transcript (Certificado de

Notas/Calificaciones)
This is an official document issued by the institution you attended that lists all
subjects taken and grades earned for each year of study.

What you need to do:

Please contact the university to send your documents electronically to WES. Go

to Universidad Tecnológica de Bolívar – UTB's page ( https://www.utb.edu.co/la-
utb/directivas/secretaria-general/registro-academico/ ) and follow the steps.
WES has an established relationship with Universidad Tecnológica de Bolívar –
UTB and has provided the university officials with instructions.

2. Degree Certificate
Clear, legible photocopies of the degree certificate/diploma.
