 ABOUT THE COLLEGE

St. Francis de Sales College is managed by the Missionaries of St. Francis de Sales (MSFS) of
South West India Province, who firmly believe that 'the education of the heart is the heart of
education' hailed by its Founder, Fr. Peter Marie Mermier.

St Francis de Sales College came into existence in 2004 with the motto: Excellence,
Transformation and Efficiency.
It is a minority recognized Institution, permanently affiliated to Bangalore University with
Undergraduate (BA, BBA, BCA, BCOM, BSC), Postgraduate (MA, MCOM, MSC, MBA) and
Postgraduate Diploma Programs.
In the year 2018, the College obtained 2(f) and 12(b) Recognition under the UGC Act of
1965. AICTE approval for MBA was obtained in 2020.
The College was granted “B++” Grade by the NAAC in 2021. The College is also an ISO
Certified Institution.

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

Embark on a journey into the realm of technology and innovation, SFS college started its
Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA) in the year 2006 andBachelor of Science with CSC
in 2009.

As we delve into the heart of this dynamic duo, we unveil a world of endless possibilities,
where creativity meets logic, and innovation knows no bounds.
The Bachelor of Computer Applications program equips students with a comprehensive
understanding of computer systems, programming languages, and software
development.
Bachelor of science with varied combinations with Computer Science such as,
Mathematics -CSC, Electronics -CSC, Psychology -CSC, these combinations become
powerhouse, empowering individuals to not only navigate the digital landscape but also
shape its future.
 ABOUT THE FEST

The Department of Computer Science and Applications will host a one-day IT Fest
"TECHKRITI" on January 11th 2024.

Brings together information technology professionals, experts, and enthusiasts to

discuss and display the newest advancements, ideas, and trends.
Participants compete with other like-minded people, and the greatest talent will win.
Treasure hunts, IT quizzes, discussions, poster presentations, debugging, and gaming
opportunities are a few examples of these events.
This fest “TECHKRITI” is an ode to the brilliant minds who dare to dream in code. Join us
in unravelling the mysteries of algorithms, exploring the intricacies of database
management, and witnessing the magic of tech treasure hunt.

GENERAL GUIDELINES

Registration fee for each event is mentioned below :

• Registration will be first come first serve basis.

• Registrations can be done online or offline.
• On the spot registration starts at 8:00 AM on the day of the event.
• Participant’s should report at registration desk .
• All participants must carry college id card.
• Registration fee once paid will not be refunded.
• College will not be responsible for any loss and damage of any personal belongings
• Instructions for each event will be given by the respective coordinators before the
commencement of the event.
• Judges decision will be final.
• In case of any queries or registration related issues, kindly contact coordinator.
• Participation certificates will be provided.
• Scan the QR code for the payment.

THERE IS NO LIMIT TO TEAMS FROM A SINGLE INSTITUTION
REPLACEMENT OF ANY PARTICIPANT FOR TEAM IS NOT
ALLOWED AFTER REGISTRATION.
THE TOTAL NUMBER OF ROUNDS ARE TWO.
JUDGES DECISION IS FINAL.

THERE IS NO LIMIT TO TEAMS FROM A SINGLE INSTITUTION.
THE QUESTIONS SHALL BE MULTIPLE CHOICE, TRUE/FALSE STATEMENT,
SPECIFIC ANSWER QUESTIONS ETC.
REPLACEMENT OF ANY PARTICIPANT OF A TEAM IS NOT ALLOWED AFTER
REGISTRATION.
THE DECISION OF THE QUIZ MASTER WILL BE FINAL AND WILL NOT BE
SUBJECTED TO ANY CHANGE.

EMULATORS ARE NOT ALLOWED. PARTICIPANTS MUST PLAY
ON MOBILE DEVICES ONLY.
