In this topic I learned that risk management is the practice of preventing or eliminating
hazard in establishment or in a workplace to prevent accident and it is also a process of
determining the possible risk that can affect the overall performance of the event. For example,
we will have an event on a place that is risky or accident prone area let’s say outdoor event but
we figured out the potential risk or hazard that we may encounter, so in that case we can avoid
the possible hazards that we may encounter and we can keep going our event since we can
inform our guests on what to do, where is the safe evacuation place, and the safety exits. As a
future manager this is very important to understand since it is very crucial to have a prior
knowledge about risk management since I will be the one who leads my team on a good. And I
will be the one who will help them to overcome the possible problems on each area of the
workplace. If we overcome the risk the production process will become smooth and we can meet
the overall satisfaction of our guests. Since that is the most important thing in our job in the field
of hospitality the happiness and satisfaction of our guests. Also a good way of learning about the
effectiveness of your organization’s response plan is through mistakes from past incidents need
to be reviewed in order to improve future strategies. With the future in mind, the video highlights
the need to construct other safety buffer methods to minimize the possibility of more such
occurrences.

Creating and developing strong contingency plans, establishing clear communication

lines, and cultivating collaborative relationships with vendors and partners to guarantee seamless
coordination and response during times of crisis. These involve a lot of steps, like developing a
feasible event concept, drafting and editing the event script, working on the audio and graphics,
adhering to health and safety regulations, getting in touch with providers and haggling over
service fees. This influences economic growth, increases tax revenue, advances infrastructure,
and has a knock-on effect on the whole economy.

The video presentation gives me enough knowledge and insights about risk management,
risk management must have or include revision of existing controls that identifying the negative
effects besides the expected ones will help in exploring the best ways before and after the
occurrence. In conclusion, if we have a knowledge into our event like in this risk management
will enhance the quests experience and satisfaction. Achieving all of this will be easily since we
have a prior knowledge that will lead us to safety and we can have a smooth operation on the
industry or workplace.
