• 1 cup of milk
• 4 tablespoons of white, distilled vinegar
• 1 or more colours of food colouring (optional)
• sprinkles, glitter or other things to add (optional)
• saucepan/pot
• strainer
• cup measure
• timer or stopwatch
• paper towel
• cookie cutters (optional)
• string for threading (optional)

Instructions:
Prediction
1. Before you start the experiment, write and draw a prediction
about what you think is going to happen to the milk when it is
heated up and the vinegar is added.
Design
2. Use the space below to draw and label the shape you are going to
make out of the plastic when it is finished. Remember to label what
things you might like to use in your plastic, like glitter, colours and
any other equipment you need.
Observations
3. In the spaces below, write and draw what you observe as you work
through the experiment.

6. Draw and describe your final shape. Remember to include
information about what you made and why you made it. You also
