EXT. CAR PARK - NIGHT

HANNAH crouches on the ground, staring down at her BLOOD-
STAINED hands. Her hands shake slightly as she catches her
breath.
CUT TO BLACK.
BEGIN FLASHBACK:

FADE TO:

INT. HANNAH'S BEDROOM - NIGHT

Hannah sits at a DESK, looking into a MIRROR and applying
LIPGLOSS. Her sister, ESMÉ, lays on Hannah's bed, watching
her.
ESMÉ
Tom? Why would you ask him out?
HANNAH
(putting her lipstick
away)
He's cute.
ESMÉ
Seriously?
HANNAH
(brushing her hair in the
mirror)
What would you know? You've never
dated anyone.
Hannah laughs and turns to face her sister, who stares back
disapprovingly.
ESMÉ
Where are you guys even going?
HANNAH
(putting her hairbrush
down)
I don't know... It's a secret.
ESMÉ
Is that not a bit weird..?
Hannah gets up and takes off her JUMPER.

HANNAH
It's romantic.
CUT TO:

EXT. FRONT DRIVEWAY - MOMENTS LATER

A CAR pulls up on Hannah's driveway. The HEADLIGHTS hide the
driver's face. He stares through Hannah's bedroom window,
watching her. His eyes then glance in the REAR-VIEW mirror.
CUT TO:

INT. HANNAH'S BEDROOM - MOMENTS LATER

Hannah grabs her PHONE, checks it, then turns to her sister.
HANNAH
Right. How do I look?
ESMÉ
(sitting up)
Good, but-
HANNAH
What?
Esmé looks worried. Her eyes shift uncomfortably as she
addresses her sister.

ESMÉ
I don't think you should be alone
with him. He's done things- I mean,
people say things...
Hannah pauses. Her expression becomes uncomfortable for a
moment before she snaps out of it.
HANNAH
Relax-
A loud CAR HORN sounds from outside, startling the two.
HANNAH (CONT'D)
(jumping a little)
Fuck...
Hannah moves to the window and looks down to see the car.
HANNAH (CONT'D)
He's here.

Hannah grabs her BAG and heads for the door.

ESMÉ
Hannah?
HANNAH
(turning to face her)
Yeah, Ez?
ESMÉ
Please be careful.
Hannah nods and exits the room.
CUT TO:

EXT. FRONT DRIVEWAY - NIGHT

Hannah leaves her house. TOM's eyes follow her as she walks
towards his CAR. He leans across to open the passenger door
for her, smirking slightly.
TOM
Hey.
Hannah gets into the car and closes the door behind her.
HANNAH
Hi.
TOM stares at Hannah for a moment, expecting her to say
something more. She doesn't.
TOM
You look amazing.
Hannah smiles and tucks her hair over her shoulder.
HANNAH
Thanks.
Tom puts his hands on the wheel.
HANNAH (CONT'D)
So, where are you taking me?
TOM
You'll see.
Hannah turns on the RADIO - loud enough to hide the nerves in
her voice.
 4.

HANNAH
Alright then.
TOM backs out of the driveway.
DISSOLVE TO:

INT. TOM'S CAR - LATER

Hannah leans against the side of the car, staring out the
OPEN window, as Tom drives them down a quiet road. The MUSIC
from the RADIO fills the car. Tom keeps glancing at Hannah as
he drives.
TOM
(trying to catch her
attention)
Hey?
He turns the radio down.
TOM (CONT'D)
(putting a hand on her
shoulder)
Almost there.
Hannah looks down at his hand for a moment then back up at
him. She smiles wearily.
Tom turns the music back up. Hannah looks out the window
behind her, as if she's checking for something. They continue
driving around a corner.
DISSOLVE TO:

EXT. CAR PARK - MOMENTS LATER

The CAR pulls into an empty car park. Tom parks and shuts the
car off. The MUSIC abruptly CUTS OUT. Hannah shifts
uncomfortably in her seat. She looks around, confused.
HANNAH
(scoffing a little)
Seriously?
Tom shushes her. He reaches out to tuck a hair behind
Hannah's ear.
TOM
You are so beautiful.

HANNAH
Thanks...
Tom cups Hannah's chin between his finger and thumb and leans
towards her.

HANNAH (CONT'D)
(backing away)
Hey, slow down a little.
TOM
(smirking)
Relax.
He leans in to kiss her. There is a strange NOISE outside the
car. Hannah pulls away from Tom abruptly.
HANNAH
Stop! What was that?
TOM
(still staring at her
lips)
What was what?
HANNAH
I heard something outside.
TOM
(leaning closer again)
Don't worry about it.
HANNAH
(pushing him away)
No, seriously. I think there's
someone out there.
Tom looks around, visibly annoyed.
TOM
I don't see anything.
HANNAH
Well, can you go out and check?
Please?
TOM
(rolling his eyes)
Are you serious? Fine, whatever.
He gets out of the car and looks around. He turns back to the
car.

TOM (CONT'D)
(shrugging)
There's nothing.
HANNAH
(agitated)
Hang on.
She climbs into the driver's seat and turns the ENGINE on.
The HEADLIGHTS come on. Tom covers his eyes with his arm.
HANNAH (CONT'D)
(worried)
Does that help? Can you look again?
Tom turns around.
TOM
(exasperated)
Hannah, there's nothing here.
He hears the sound of the car suddenly moving. He turns
around to see Hannah driving towards him. He stumbles
backwards a little, but it's not enough.
TOM (CONT'D)
What the fu-
We hear the sound of a COLLISION.
CUT TO BLACK.
FADE TO:

INT. HOUSE PARTY - NIGHT [FLASHBACK]

Hannah heads upstairs at a house party, passing a couple of
people on the stairs. Loud MUSIC and CHATTER fills her ears.
She seems stressed as she reaches the landing. She stops to
speak to someone who is standing by themself drinking from a
RED CUP.
HANNAH
Hey, have you seen Sophie?
The person shakes their head. Agitated, Hannah continues down
the landing until she gets to a closed door.
As she reaches for the handle, the door swings open. Tom
exits in a hurry, almost bumping into Hannah on his way out.
He's red in the face as he zips up his JEANS.
Hannah enters the room.

HANNAH (CONT'D)
Soph?
Hannah sees her best friend, SOPHIE, sprawled on the floor.
She sits, leaning against the BED behind her, with her head
hung low.
SOPHIE
(looking up and mumbling)
Hannah?
HANNAH
(rushing towards her)
Shit. What the fuck happened?
Hannah kneels by her friend and pushes her hair out of her
face. SOPHIE's MASCARA has run down her cheeks; she can
barely hold her head up, let alone make eye contact with
Hannah. She just sobs.
Hannah holds SOPHIE tightly in her arms.
HANNAH (CONT'D)
(whispering)
It's okay... you're okay.
CUT TO:

EXT. CAR PARK - PRESENT DAY

Hannah sits behind the wheel of the CAR, stunned. She takes a
deep breath and closes her eyes for a second.
SOPHIE (O.S)
Oh my god, you actually did it.
Hannah jumps at the sound of Sophie's voice.
Sophie stands outside the car, leaning through the open
window on the driver's side. She looks a little bewildered.
HANNAH
Jesus, for a second back there I
thought you weren't coming.
Sophie moves away from the door as Hannah gets out. Hannah
pulls Sophie into a hug.
HANNAH (CONT'D)
(Pulling away)
Is he... definitely... dead?
 8.

Sophie walks in front of the car and looks down. She covers
her mouth in disgust.
SOPHIE
(nodding)
Oh yeah, he's dead.
Hannah moves over to look at the body.
HANNAH
Fuck.
SOPHIE
(turning away)
I think I'm gonna be sick.
She swallows and grimaces.
HANNAH
(turning away as well)
What do we do now? Do we move him?
SOPHIE
I don't know. Probably.
Hannah chuckles nervously to herself, pacing back and forth.
HANNAH
We actually did it. We fucking
killed him.
Sophie turns back to look at the body. She stares for a
moment, thinking.
SOPHIE
(nodding to herself)
We need to move him.
Hannah stops pacing.
HANNAH
Fuck, okay.
She stands next to Sophie and looks down at the body.
HANNAH (CONT'D)
No going back now.
CUT TO:
 9.

EXT. CAR PARK - MOMENTS LATER

Hannah and Sophie look down at the CAR BOOT, where they have
stashed the BODY under a TARP. Sophie spits at the tarp,
before turning away from it. Hannah closes the boot with her
BLOODIED hands.
HANNAH
Fuck him.
SOPHIE
Fuck him.
The sound of sirens creeps in from the distance, making the
girls panic.
SOPHIE (CONT'D)
Shit, we've gotta go.
We see the girls through the perspective of a security
camera, somewhere behind them in the car park.
HANNAH
How the hell did they find us?
SOPHIE
Let's not stay and find out.
Sophie hurriedly opens the driver's door but Hannah grabs her
arm and pulls her back. The sirens grow louder.
HANNAH
Where are we gonna go?
SOPHIE
I don't know, we'll figure it out.
Let's go.
HANNAH
Is that what you want? To run? To
keep running, forever?
SOPHIE
They won't find us.
HANNAH
They already have.
Hannah takes Sophie's hand, reassuringly.
HANNAH (CONT'D)
Just stay with me.
Sophie calms down, realising what Hannah's suggesting.
 10.

SOPHIE
Are you sure?
Hannah smiles and nods. The sirens are deafening now.
HANNAH
Like I said, no going back.
The girls stand, hand in hand, in front of the car. RED and
BLUE LIGHTS flash across their faces as we hear some CARS
pulling into the car park. Sophie squeezes Hannah's hand
tightly and the two of them smile.
FADE OUT.
