AIMS
The syllabus aims to help learners to:

1. appreciate the socio-economic importance of agriculture to the country

2. develop a positive attitude towards Agriculture and its study as a science

3. develop positive attitude towards the country`s natural resources so as to conserve and use them sustainably within the school

and in the community

4. apply psychomotor and communication skills in agriculture

5. develop leadership and agri-business skills

6. develop the ability to solve agricultural problems through the application of indigenous knowledge, scientific skills and new

technology

7. develop innovativeness in agricultural practice including value addition

8. lay a foundation for advanced studies and a career in the field of agriculture
