1 Subscriber Manager
Note: You need administrator access to configure KPI and statistics collection. Non-admin
users can view the settings only.

Click More , Statistics Configuration. The Statistics Configuration form opens.

In the KPI Indicator area, configure a polling interval and select a statistics policy for each KPI
you want to configure.
When a statistics policy is selected for a KPI, the KPI is enabled. Statistics policies are
configured in the NFM-P GUI.
The default polling interval of 15 minutes is recommended for most applications. Changes to
polling intervals may take considerable time to deploy fully through the NFM-P.

Click Statistics on the navigation panel.

In the Statistics area, configure a polling interval and select a statistics policy for each statistics
counter you want to enable.
When a statistics policy is selected for a statistics counter, the counter is enabled. Statistics
policies are configured in the NFM-P GUI.
The default polling interval of 15 minutes is recommended for most applications. Changes to
polling intervals my take considerable time to deploy fully through the NFM-P.

Click Apply to save your changes or click Cancel. A confirmation message lists the changes
that will be applied.

While the configuration change is in progress, the GUI is disabled in other sessions.

Note: The Subscriber Manager KPI perspective calculates and displays KPI information for
service-ready NEs (currently reachable via SNMP, full or partial resync Done state in NFM-P,
and statistics are collected and available for the NE in NFM-P). The number of service-ready
NEs in the supervision group is indicated by the counter in the lower-right corner of the
Dashboard.
Statistics data is considered stale if it was fetched any earlier than two times the polling
interval, as specified in the statistics configuration tool. Stale data is not included with data
displayed in the KPI perspective.

1.8 NE list
The NE List view shows all NEs within a network supervision group, with basic status and hardware
information for each NE. Menu buttons on individual list items allow you to investigate an NE
further.
• View expanded site information: double-click on a list item; see 1.10 “Site Info” (p. 10).
• View daughter cards installed on the NE: on the right-hand side of a list item, click More
, Equipment; see 1.12 “Equipment list” (p. 10).
• View DHCP servers configured on the site: on the right-hand side of a list item, click More
, Local DHCP Servers; see 1.14 “Local DHCP Server list” (p. 12).
• View KPI plots for the site: on the right-hand side of a list item, click More , Statistics
Plots; see 1.19 “Plot Statistics view” (p. 14).
• View subscriber errors for an NE; see 1.13 “How do I retrieve subscriber host errors from an
NE?” (p. 11).
• Sort the list under a heading: Click on one of the column headings to sort the list under that
heading. Click the heading again to reverse the sort order, as indicated by Up/Down arrows.
• Filter the list contents: Type a text string in the field under a column heading to reduce the list
to include only entries that contain the filter string, under that heading. The filter results update
as you type.
• Search for an NE or supervision group: Click Search . In the Search menu, select a
search parameter from the drop-down list and then begin typing a search string in the text field.
The result list updates as you type.
• Refresh the NE list: Click Refresh .
The following actions can help you navigate the Sites triage list:
• View KPI plots for a site: on the right-hand side of a list item, click More , Statistics Plots;
see 1.19 “Plot Statistics view” (p. 14).
• Explore a site: on the right-hand side of a list item, click More , Site Info.
• View daughter cards on a site: on the right-hand side of a list item, click More , Equipment.
• View DHCP servers on a site: on the right-hand side of a list item, click More , Local DHCP
Servers.
• Sort the list under a heading: Click on one of the column headings to sort the list under that
heading. Click the heading again to reverse the sort order, as indicated by Up/Down arrows.
• Filter the list contents: Type a text string in the field under a column heading to reduce the list
to include only entries that contain the filter string, under that heading. The filter results update
as you type.
• Return to previous view: Click Go Up to return to the previous view in the hierarchy.
The following actions can help you navigate the Alarms triage list:
• Filter the list: Click Add Filter and select a Time or Causes filter item from the menu.
The list contents are reduced to match the filter restrictions. A filter icon appears at the top of the
list. Click Close on the filter icon to remove it.
• Sort the list under a heading: Click on one of the column headings to sort the list under that
heading. Click the heading again to reverse the sort order, as indicated by Up/Down arrows.
• Filter the list under a heading: Type a text string in the field under a column heading to reduce
the list to include only entries that contain the filter string, under that heading. The filter results
update as you type.
• Return to Dashboard: Click Go Up to return to the Dashboard.

Server list, Plot Site Statistics, or Site Info view.

On the right-hand side of an NE list item, click More , Subscriber Error Log Search. The
Subscriber Error Log Search form opens.
On a Site Info form, you can click Subscriber Error Log Search .

Choose an error type from the drop-down menu.
If you choose MAC errors, you can specify a MAC address to return MAC errors only from that
address. Otherwise, all MAC errors for the NE are returned.

Click Retrieve. The retrieved error messages are listed in the form.

To export the retrieved error messages to a CSV file, click Export All.

Close the form to return to the NE list.

On the right-hand side of a list item, click More , DHCP Leases. The DHCP Lease Retrieval
form opens.
On a DHCP Server Info form, you can click DHCP Lease Retrieval .

Type the IP address for a DHCP client in the Client IP Address field.

Click Retrieve. The retrieved leases are listed in the form.
Note: The lease retrieval process can be system resource-intensive and may take several
minutes.

To export the retrieved leases to a CSV file, click Export.

The following actions can help you navigate the DHCP Pools list:
• View additional information for a pool: double-click on a list item.
A Pool Info page opens with an expanded layout of pool information and address/lease usage
counts.
• View KPI plots for a pool: on the right-hand side of a list item, click More , Plot Site
Statistics.
• Sort the list under a heading: Click on one of the column headings to sort the list under that
heading. Click the heading again to reverse the sort order, as indicated by Up/Down arrows.
• Filter the list contents: Type a text string in the field under a column heading to reduce the list
to include only entries that contain the filter string, under that heading. The filter results update
as you type.
• Return to previous view: Click Go Up to return to the previous view in the hierarchy.

• Change plotter time period: Click Calendar to select the date before which statistics are
displayed. After selecting a date, click Refresh. The resulting plots display KPIs over the two
days prior to the selected date.
• View other NE information: Click on the toolbar drop-down menu to change to the Local DHCP
Server list, Equipment, or Site Info view.
• Return to the NE list: Click Go Up to return to the previous view in the hierarchy.

Click on the Search For Subscriber Instance In Network link next to the Search menu. A list
of all subscribers in the network is returned.

To filter the search results, select Subscriber ID or Site ID in the menu and type a filter string in
the field. The results list is reduced to include only objects with the specified string.

Click on an item in the search results to open it in the Troubleshoot view.

with a variety of possible search criteria associated with the object type. Type a search string in
one or more of the fields.

In the Hosts list, hover over the host item you want to check and click More , Configuration
at the end of the row.
The Host Configuration page opens.

Click the links on the Navigation panel to move to different portions of the host configuration.

Click on the drop-down menu at the top of the page to view DHCP lease information, managed
routes, or QoS policies for the host (if configured).

Click ICMP Ping or ICMP Trace on the toolbar to run tests on the host.

Click Go Up to return to the previous view in the hierarchy.

interval for the Subscriber Manager GUI.
Note: Changing the refresh interval may impact server performance. A higher refresh interval
results in more frequent server calls.

The KPIs Displayed on Dashboard list contains the cards displayed in the Dashboard, and the
order they appear in.

Drag and drop Dashboard card items to change the order of the list.

To add or remove a Dashboard card in the Dashboard view, drag and drop the card item
between the KPIs Displayed on Dashboard list and the KPIs Not Displayed on Dashboard list.
