Gandalf The Grey

Players can encounter Gandalf as a NPC, and also have
him as a Patron. The Grey Pilgrim roams at will across
the north, makes his way south to Hobbiton, and then
back again. He is constantly aware of the dark forces in
the world, never letting down his guard against the
shadow. As a Patron he can offer players direct
assistance, magical boons, and his sigil. Encountering
Gandalf isnt easy for players. It is by chance that they
meet the wandering wizard in Bree. If the players are
lucky enough to meet him on the road, gaining him as a
Patron still isn't all that easy. You can bet that the task he
has for you is one that involves a great deal of danger.

Special Abilities
Reduce Gandalf's Hope points by 5 and he can force his staff against the ground sending
Wizards Staff forth a magical bright light filled with a powerful blow that knocks all enemies to the ground
causing 5 points of endurance loss.

Toughness Reduce Gandalf's Hope point score by one to reduce the Endurance loss caused by an
enemy’s attack by 9 points
Spend 5 Hope points to have him call upon the Eagles for aid. After he sends for them, the
Send For Aid group must wait 2 combat turns until they arrive. Can be used once per campaign
Reduce Gandalf's Hope points by 2 and he can use the Spells of Opening and Shutting/Spells
of Prohibition & Exclusion (pg 107 TOR). He can also use his power to remove 2 points of
Spells Shadow or to remove the effects of witch craft of a companion.
Spells of Light (place a crystal in the tip of his staff to provide a bright light that cuts through
even the darkest places in the deep.
