Good morning everyone,

1. INVESTITURE CEREMONY WAS HELD ON 2ND MAY In which, Students of senior Council were
conferred with badges and applets . The chief guest of the event were Mr. Sandeep Rishi municipal
commissioner, Ludhiana. Shri Suresh Munjal ji and Shri Vijay Munjal ji also graced the occasion with their
presence.

2. ON 8th MAY, an inter-school Vedic solo singing competition was organized under the guidance of
Principal D.P. Guleria and the presence of regional secretary of Ved Prachar Mandal Ludhiana, Roshan
Lal Arya. The chief guest of the event were Madan Bassi . Pradeep Aroda, Atul Dhawan, and Arun
Sood inaugurated the competition by awarding badges to the contestants. In this competition, 27
students from 14 schools in Ludhiana presented their performances. Madan Bassi and Sukhsm Aluwalia
presented awards to the winners.

The chief guest then addressed the event saying that it is necessary to provide moral education to the
youth today and efforts to promote Vedic culture through songs were commendable.

3.ON 10th MAY, An International career fair was organized in collaboration with IC3 where 12
universities from all across participated. Students engaged with university representatives from different
continents. Students left the fair feeling empowered and able to lead their own academic journeys.

4.ON 13TH MAY, Fashion studies department organized a one day visit to NIIFT for the student of class
12th, where students gained insights into the fashion industry, latest trends and interacted with
professional in this field and students were gives a good exposure of practical knowledge of machines.

 A Session by Dr.Ugen from France and Chef Mayank from GD Goenka University was also
organized, where Dr.Ugen enlightened students about Aerospace engineering and Chef
Mayank talked about Culinary arts and Hospitality.

 Inter BCM Schools U-19 One-Day Volleyball Tournament was held on 13 May 2024. The
tournament, organized by BCM School Chandigarh Road, brought young volleyball enthusiasts
together from BCM Schools of Basant Avenue and Basant City for a day of friendly
competition.

The event commenced with a vibrant welcome ceremony featuring an oral welcome, floral
tributes, a musical performance, a spirited march past and oath taking by the participants. The
matches were officiated by Mr. Gagandeep Singh, a renowned sports personality and gold
medalist in several sporting events, and Ms. Salma, a five-time national participant and gold
medalist in the junior national event.

The much-awaited prize distribution ceremony was held. The Chief Guest, Dr.Prem Kumar,
Manager of BCM Schools, presented trophies and medals to the winning teams.BCM school
chd road emerged as the winner followed by BCM Schools Basant Avenue, Dugri and Basant
City secured the second and third positions respectively.The Principal of BCM School
Chandigarh Road, Mr. DP Guleria, delivered a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing his
appreciation for the participants, organizers, and distinguished guests.

5. ON 14th May, University Fair was held, where 30 Universities all across the globe participated, and the
university representatives provided students the information about programms offered, campus life,
admission requirements, scholarship oppurtunities and alot more. Students got a chance to ask questions
gather information and find the path to their successful lives.

 Mass media department organized an Educational Visit for Mass Media Students to Dainik
Jagran, Printing Press, the regional office in Jalandhar, to provide hands-on experience and
insights into the dynamic world of journalism

During the visit, students had the opportunity to interact with professionals and glean insights
from their experience, From observing the printing presses in action to witnessing the editorial
decisions firsthand, the excursion offered a holistic understanding of the multifaceted nature
of journalism. Mr. Varinder Singh Walia, the esteemed editor at Dainik Jagran, graced the
occasion and extended his best wishes to the aspiring journalists for their future endeavors.

6. ON 15TH MAY, Programming Students of class +1, presented sway presentation in 2 teams, showing
their creativity, teamwork and efforts. 1st team raised awareness about "Digital Citizenship" and 2nd
team on the topic "G-20".

7. ON 17TH MAY, as BCM is now PSAT test centre, so , an Orientation session by Ms. Mahek Verma,
Director college abroad, USA for the preparation of PSAT.
