Fingerprinting Form Package

This document package includes the forms for use in connection with our HPHT Fingerprinting Field
Operations Manual D01420377.

Each HPHT section requires its own set of forms to be completed, along with the required spread
sheets with charts

D01420379 Excel, HPHT Fingerprinting Forms with Charts

For the following Pages tick the relevant boxes to identify the units in use

SG PPG Meters Feet gpm

lpm Bar PSI Deg C Deg F

M3 Gallons Barrels

Default values entered in form, Change Units in sheet where required to reflect units in use.

When completing these forms, use D01420377 as the methodology and for more detailed
information on what has to be done per form.

10.1 - Flow Check Fingerprint - Form:
1.1.1 Line up to the Trip tank
1.1.2 Start the Trip Tank Pump – this is ‘time zero’ and must be synchronized
between Data Engineer & Driller – the Driller shall inform the Data
Engineers immediately when the Trip tank Pump is started.
1.1.3 Record the Trip Tank volume every one minute for a period of 30
minutes.
1.1.4 Official fingerprint data should be recorded on this sheet, subsequent
flow checks will be recorded in the accompanying spreadsheet which
allows visual comparison to fingerprint data and previous flow checks
1.1.5 Use a minimum of two decimal places for recording pit volumes.
1.1.6 Data Engineers to complete the spreadsheet D01420379 and distribute to
Driller, Company Representative, keep a paper copy for the unit.

11.1 - Flow Back / Drain Back Fingerprint Form :
1.1.7 Stop pipe movement and circulation (from the normal drilling flow rate
expected). Time ‘zero’ is immediately when the Driller stops the pumps
– the Driller must notify the Data Engineers exactly when this occurs.
1.1.8 Record the active pit levels at one-minute intervals.
1.1.9 Conduct two tests at flow rates so that the minimum, maximum and
average anticipated flow rates are covered.
1.1.10 Conduct a further test at flow rate that is planned to be used when
pumping out of hole if this is not covered by the earlier flow rates
recorded.
1.1.11 The mud loggers shall record this information continuously and plot the
data on a chart of “Volume against Time”. This “snapshot” shall be
saved and presented in a form the driller can use to compare later flow
backs.
1.1.12 Additionally screen shots from the CFM software will be made and
saved in an excel worksheet. Subsequent real flow back profiles will
also be recorded in this way with one spreadsheet being available for
each hole section – a separate tab for each day is to be used. Each screen
shot of each flow back episode will be referenced with respects to Time,
Date, Depth, Mud Temperature, Mud Weight, Flow Rate.
1.1.13 Data Engineers to complete the spreadsheet D01420379 and distribute to
Driller, Company Representative, keep a paper copy for the unit
1.1.14 Data Engineers to create screen dumps from CFM software and save in
CFM spreadsheet
1.1.15 Print new sheet for each flow rate.

20.1 – Shut in Well Form:
1.1.35 When the well is shut-in on the annular, plot the annulus pressure build
up over 30 minutes and compare with the relevant current fingerprint
baseline. Check that the pipe is free to move at 15 minute intervals.
1.1.36 If there is any significant difference with the baseline, extend the shut-in
period until a stabilized pressure is determined.
1.1.37 If an influx is considered likely, circulate bottoms up through the choke,
monitor the pressure changes and look for any contamination of the
mud.
1.1.38 If no influx is suspected, open the BOP after performing a flow check
through the choke and confirming it is negative.
1.1.39 Circulate bottoms up 1000 m below BOP and perform a flow check on
the trip tank plotting the return volume with time and directly comparing
with the latest established baseline for flow checks at this position.
Extend the flow check to 60 minutes or more if any uncertainty still
exists.

 With well shut-in with annular preventer increase drill pipe and annulus pressure to 25 bar.

 Stop pumps. Perform well control startup. Slowly bringing pumps up to 480 lpm, down drill string,
while maintaining 25 bar annulus pressure by slowly opening choke.

 When pressures have stabilized open the choke to reduce the SIDPP to 15 bars while continuing to
pump at 480 lpm.

 Record the reaction time between the drill pipe pressure drop and the corresponding annulus
