LESSON PLAN PRESENT PERFECT
(4/22 & 4/24)

Lesson Objectives:

At the end of the lesson, students should be able to:


• learn and practice present perfect for describing a past event that is still important.

*In case of 45-minute lesson, the presentation part
can be lessened to 10 minutes instead of 15.

5 mins. GREETINGS

PRESENTATION

15 mins. Review the Present Perfect Tense by a Q&A game called 'Quick Answer.' Students will pair up and
take turns asking and answering questions. After each question, a number wheel will be generated to
select a random student who will stand up and answer.

PRACTICE & PRODUCTION

Shuffle and Guess Game

1. Fill out the worksheet individually.


2. Gather up all of the papers, shuffle them, and pass them back out again to random students.
20 mins.
3. The students then read off the information on their paper to their classmates and guess
whose paper it is.
For example: "She is a girl. She has been to Kyoto and Nara. She hasn't been to Hiroshima.
She has seen Kimetsu no Yaiba many times. Who is she?"
4. When a student quizzes their partner, they write their partner's name under the "That's
right!" section if their guess was correct, and under the "Sorry..." section otherwise.

Supplementary Activity

After the Shuffle and Guess Game in pairs, papers will be collected. The class will form six groups,
each with 6-7 students. Teachers will read information from the papers, and students will write their
guesses on the whiteboard.

Option Activity
• Students create three questions using "Have you ever been to ____?"
• Each team has 30 seconds to ask questions.
• If the teacher answers "No," no points are awarded.
• If the teacher answers "Yes, X times," the team earns X points.
• If the teacher answers "Yes, many times," the team gets 10 points.
